Well this movie does a good job of showing the mindset of foreign missionaries and also the mindset of a stone age tribe that has no way of imagining our modern culture.
The murder scene is pretty awful, I'm still flash backing the scene. It's certainly "real".
I think the tearjerker at the end tries too hard. It goes a bit off in the realism department in order to get the emotional affect desired. I would have liked to have seen something more realistic.
The interview with the real characters dramatized in the movie that is part of the end scroll is not to be missed. Don't leave early.
