Traitors (2019)
Why England Slept
A book by none other than JFK, entitled "Why England Slept" was the story about why England didn't aggressively re-arm after WWI, especially in the face of Nazi re-arming! Please, no more stories about how England was a big brother to the U. S.! And let's not forget about Lord Chamberlain and his back room deal with Hitler! I'm a tolerant person, willing to go along for the ride. But I must criticize the mumbling and lack of enunciation by many of the actors! Apparently no money in the budget for vocal coaches! Let's see where this goes! I think they have a great story to tell. Episodic TV tends to get more focused with each new episode!
Le indagini di Lolita Lobosco (2021)
Good Production Values, Music, Food, Light Fun
Don't be fooled by the somewhat corny plot gimmicks and romantic entanglements, Italians are speaking out about the oppressive government they have endured for more than a hundred years! In between the lattes and gelato desserts, this show and "The Mafia Only Kills In Summer" let us see that it's nearly impossible to investigate a government official, women police officers are just getting a foothold, and to get a good government job or a good apartment, you have to pull some strings! It's just a fact of everyday life in Italy! The church still holds sway in all parts of Italy though! You can still hear references to God, Christ and the Virgin Mary at almost any time of any day!
Suspicion (2022)
Darkly Convoluted
Obviously they saved a bundle by not hiring a lighting crew! The show is so dark most of the time that I wanted to turn on a light! Saved even more money by having one detective interview 4 suspects consecutively-at night. Saw 3 episodes and still know nothing about the people or even who did the crime. No longer interested in wasting time watching this!
