Read the book series a handful of years ago on Kindle unlimited. It was if nothing else mildly entertaining. The TV show is much better than the books. They've changed a rather significant portion of the story generally for the better, but don't look to either the show or the books for serious thought provoking ideas. The groundbreaking bit is that we have a fat vampire. Everything else is as expected. The TV show is a solid 8 out of 10 for what it is due to the quality of the actors. The book series is a middling 5 out of 10 due to the ability of the author to get into a teenager's mind (Reginald is 15 in the books.)

Was your favorite thing about the previous generation of top gear the silly stunts? Do you like wheeler dealers but would prefer Mike to start way down market? If so this is definitely the show for you. All in all a very fun ride from rural Oxfordshire that is perhaps best enjoyed with an adult beverage of your choice.

This movie is an attempt by riff to "cash in" on the success of RHPS, the pauses for audience participation are thrown in purposely and are way too heavy handed. It's an amusing movie, but that's just because of how awful it is. Watch it at least once though...

Decent made for tv movie, was made about the same time as the remake(s) of smokey & the bandit, and the hercules movies. Amusing romp, but not worth the $, if you see it on tv tape/tivo it. Even the actors are actually better then your average TV actor :)
