The Greg Gutfeld Show (2015)
He has never been funny
Gutfeld's the kind of "comic" those who laugh at handicapped people think is funny. He's never been funny and he never will be funny. Red Eye? Jesus, that was like being near a jerk at a bar in an airport, and he won't shut up. But this is the curse of right wing nut jobs: They're fundamentally angry, mean, and hateful, so their efforts at humor always punch down. I mean, remember the trainwreck "The 1/2 Hour News Hour"? The Strings (2020)
Terrible waste of time
Where to begin? The songs belong at a bad teenage poetry open mic, the characters have no motivation, there's enough plot for about a five-minute short, the acting is amateurish, and the soundtrack intrudes like a dump truck. Sure, there are some nice shots of landscapes and houses, but whatever passes for a story here is so thin that you won't care. Add in the barest whisper of pretentious New Age "guantum curtain" or whatever, and you've got this movie. I watched it on Shudder and it made me want to cancel.
Dune (2021)
5 stars for half the film it should have been
The title "Dune" is misleading. It's "Dune, Part 1." Sure, it's cool looking, secondary characters reworked in an interesting way, and a shift in the story away from Princess Irulan's framing in Chapter 1 of the book to focus on the Fremen works well, but, c'mon. It ends with Jessica and Paul joining Stilgar's tribe. They stretched the story out way too thin. Wtf. They're turning it into "Lord of the Rings" but instead of ending on something dope like the skirmish at Amon Hen, this film just... ends.
