Antboy (2013)
This movie will only bring you ironic enjoyment
I watched this with one of my friends, and we had a great time making fun of it together. Most of the plot makes no sense, and the acting is hilariously atrocious. All of the characters are so awkward together and act like they'd rather be anywhere else. The "climax" was such a letdown it had us in stitches.
If you're looking for a good time, watch it ironically, but don't expect to enjoy it otherwise.
The Last Bus (2021)
A compelling, beautiful experince
If you don't like slow movies, this probably isn't for you, because it definitely takes its time. And don't watch if you expect to be entertained, because there aren't any jokes to make you laugh.
However, this is a very well made movie. The cinematography is beautiful, and the story is interesting and touching. I think this movie accomplishes everything it sets out to do in an intelligent and meaningful way.
Worth the watch in my opinion.
Shrek 2 (2004)
This is literally one of my favorite movies of all time.
I've seen this movie many times as a kid, but the thing is, the older I get, the more meaningful and profound it becomes. As time goes on I find I'm able to recognize more and more things I couldn't when I was younger. Shrek 2 has an amazing plot, great characters, iconic incredible music, hilarious jokes in all the right places, poignant themes, and possibly my favorite climax in any movie I've ever seen. Go watch it right now.
Elf Day (2020)
I hope elf day never arrives
This is not a movie. It is a selection of about 10 different clips being played over and over again with different dialogue each time. Everything about this screams laziness: from the incredible similar character models of the elves, to the lack any animation besides moving mouths, to the amount of filler scenes where characters simply repeat what they already said.
And I absolutely loved every second of it.
Ghost in the Family (2018)
There are ghosts among us.
William David Glenn IV has done it again. While at first I expected nothing more than an average horror film, the truth is actually something even scarier. The horrible audio peaking had me biting my fingernails. The wooden acting had me shaking in my boots. And the boring and predicable plot had me at the edge of my seat. An incredible thriller, absolutely worth the $1.25 I paid at the dollar store.
