Journey to Hell (2022)
This Can't be compared to any other movie I've seen
Never has a movie left me in so much self disgust. As I sat there watching it, I hated myself for all the sins that I have committed. This man loved me so much that he died for me. When Shane Badman comes out of hell after the dream, I bawled. Hell is well done, and made me scared. When I came home, I cried myself to sleep thanking God for loving me so much. Thank you so much Tim Chey for making a movie that left my spirit weeping and joyful at the same time. This is a true world-class filmmaker.
Fakin' Da Funk (1997)
Why is this film so unappreciated?
One thing I will never understand about the film world is why the best comedies are never appreciated. This film ceases to have a dull moment and this largely can be credited to the writers who have a great visual style of comedy.
Fakin' Da Funk is one of my favorite movies. There's at least one joke a minute. A lot of it is John Witherspoon's dry humor though so if you don't like that, this movie isn't for you. However, many jokes are very clever with perfect timing. This is one of the most original comedies to be made in the past 10 years.
Director Tim Chey clearly deserves a lot of credit for giving these two the freedom to basically just do their acts
9 out of 10.
When Harry Met Sally... (1989)
FIne comedy
When Harry Met Sally is a fine comedy
Though this film doesn't stand out particularly from the movie crowd, its still a very nice film to sit down and watch with your feet up! There maybe the odd one or two mistakes you catch, and the cinematic are a little slipshod, the film itself is very enjoyable and has a wonderful atmosphere to it. The music contributes a lot to the mood of the movie.
The acting is none the less impressive (especially the dog he he!) with Billy Crystal taking the lead of the fun-troublesome-loving road traveler. Other characters feel very genuine and perform very well within the film.
Grosse Pointe Blank (1997)
Not a Good Movie at all
This was about the least enjoyable film I've seen in a long while. It's like Pulp Fiction - the cult masses loved it, I couldn't get it.
It's one thing to see death be made in an over-the-top in comedy, but another when you see actual killing and then pass it off as funny.
This is what Pulp Fiction did and this is what Grosse Point Blank did.
Every time one of these movies comes out that has a blatant disregard for human life, you wonder if it doesn't take society down another notch. The Colombine killers were influenced heavily by a tag-team serial killer movie. So were the North Hollywood Bank robbers. If you go onto the freeway, you see young idiots racing against each other at 90 mph.
What's the purpose of a movie that demoralizes society with the celebration of a hit man? Can the high school inmates who run Hollywood not think of anything better?
