I have just finished watching Pie in the Sky. I remember I watched it when it was first in TV. Loved it then and I loved it now. Must admit it wasn't easy watching a television show from 30 years ago. Obviously quality and technology has vastly improved. There were times it sounded like they were talking in a barn. Once I got used to it, it was pure joy for 5 seasons. I only wish it could have been more. The storylines were simple and there was no gratuitous violence and no foul language...what a breath of fresh air. I loved all of the characters in the show with the exception of fisher. He irritated me from the first episode to the last. RIP Richard Griffith, you were wonderful. I also had fun looking up the actors on IMDB those who's faces were familiar.

I came upon this by accident. Not normally something I watch. I think I was intrigued by the Bahamas, one of my favourite places. This was a feat to behold. So incredible how they did it, some mistakes were made and cost a small fortune to rectify. A hurricane that swept through. The attention to detail was incredible, the machines were unreal. Everyone had their specific job and they excelled at it. In the city where I live, they have been replacing a bridge, not a big bridge. One just spanning a narrow river and it has taken them at least three years and they are still not finished. I seriously want to go and say to the powers that be, watch this documentary and see how it's done!!!

The rest of the cast were awful. I found the wife extremely unpleasant. I don't know whether she worked but he must have to earn a small fortune to afford an apartment like that in New York and yet she begrudges him having to work long hours. The kid apparently takes after the mother and is unpleasant. So he gets unlimited wishes and wishes for stupid unnecessary wishes. Who wouldn't wish for world peace and lots of money and excellent health and an end to homelessness. Only watched because Richard Curtis has written some brilliant stuff in England and I like Melissa McCarthy. Not sure I could recommend it.

Only half way through the first episode and can't believe this actually made it to screen. The language is appalling and I swear!! There is nothing funny about this show. Actually I think they missed the chance to make a good show. The premise in interesting, if they could only tone down the slapstick and language maybe something could be made of this. The main character is good, the police officer brought in is horrendous. So stupid, no one would act that way even drunk!! Australian shows have become top notch these days but this show is sending them back to the days when Australian shows sucked!!

I see the excellent reviews here and wonder if we were watching the same movie. I stuck it for an hour thinking I may get an explanation of what is going on. Nope, just more drivel and people doing preposterous things. How this was even nominated let alone win so many awards is completely beyond my comprehension. Who did they bribe to get nominated? Did they break into where the votes are stored and steal them all and replace them? I can't see why it would get some many votes otherwise. No disrespect to the actors involved, I'm sure they are excellent at their craft. I like quirky and I've watched some crappy movies in my time but I think this has to top the list. Now it's going to ask me if there are spoilers, can I answer yes, the whole movie!!!

I've only watched two episodes so far but already I'm finding Martha extremely annoying. Can't really put my finger on why??? Sure seems to be easy to start a business. Couple of weeks and it's all signed sealed and opened!! That woman who works in the police station needs to be fired, who speaks to their boss that way? The constable, while cute as a button is as dumb as a button. I love death in paradise and have watched all of the episodes. The first guy was my favourite but I have adapted to them all. I doubt this show will be as successful. Scenery is spectacular as one would expect of the West Country. I will watch another episode but doubt I'll make it to the end of the season.

I don't know if I'm being unfair with my rating. I read the book a number of years ago and found it thought provoking, probably would have given the book a nine. Must admit though, I was half way through the book before I figured out what was happening. A difficult book to adapt, I would suggest people read the book. I think if I had not read the book and understood the premise I probably wouldn't have continued watching. It started a bit boring and I could see people Baling halfway though episode one. Give it time it gets better but I still kept comparing it to the book. I prefer the ending of the book more than the series. Love Kate Atkinsons books.

This was a lovely series, but.....had I not read the book 10 times and watched the movie 10 times I would given it a 10. How on earth could they cancel it without carrying it to its conclusion. If you don't know the conclusion I suggest reading the book and if you have seen the movies I still recommend reading the book. I feel sad for anyone who only know this series as they are missing so much. Loved the music and loved the characters, Theo James was rather yummy. Sadly it could only run for one more season and I don't know if another service would bother. Have to go now, must read and continue the story. I can't leave it like this.

I enjoyed it, helped by three favourite actors, Jennifer garner, mark ruffalo and Ryan reynolds. Ok so reynolds plays the same clown but the funny thing he's taught the younger him to be just like him! Lol. I like reynolds humour, always gets a shout out to Canada 👍. And ruffalo always brings the emotions. 😢. Don't look for deep meaning, don't look for Oscar worthy performances, take it for what it is and enjoy it.

I caught this show by accident in the second season and was hooked. I have to admit that the singers under the masks are usually unknown to me. Not big into rap, American sports (live in Canada) or you tube "celebrities" all of whom have featured largely on the show. I never really knew ken Jong before this but have to say I find him funny and find the panel and Nick Cannon do feed off one another. I enjoy when Joel McHale is on as guest judge. Donny osmond on season one was amazing and well worth checking out on YouTube. Funnily enough did not know robin Thicke before he performed on dancing with the stars way back in the beginning. It's fun if you want an hour of mindless humour!!

Such a good show. I was expecting a comedy and that was all. It's a comedy and a romance all rolled into one. I tried to not binge watch, but at the end of every episode I wanted more. Now it's done, well maybe the show is done but Suzy and Henry are still living in my head. I only wish it had gone on for another season. The aussies are putting out better and better shows all of the time.

Hoped it might be ok, I was wrong. Only managed half of the movie before I stopped watching. It wasn't funny and It was overacted. Such a shame considering the cast of A listers and ok some B listers! Robert deNiro, Christopher Walken? All I could think of was the deer hunter and how they had fallen, reduced to this trash. So sad.

Really rather disappointing. Great actors weak story. Certainly didn't need to be almost 2 hours long.

Well except the last one....nooooooooooooo, it didn't have to be that way. Anyway, loved this show, love Martin Shaw. Often when you get a series this long it fizzles out and the cast are calling in their performances, no so with this series, loved every episode, well except the last one. Ok, I'll stop moaning! Accents were good, nothing grated on the nerves, but then I'm not from the north east, maybe they think differently! Bacchus needed a smack every now and then, but he always came through in the end. Loved the addition of Rachel, she kept bacchus in his place. Storylines weren't too gruesome, realistic. So sad it's over.

I have just finished watching the series for the 2nd time! I couldn't remember some of the first episodes and decided to watch again which hooked me into watching it all again. Love, love love this series. I was skeptical at first about the series but thank goodness I watched it. Everyone is awesome in the show. Ok, I found Roland irritating from beginning to end!! I cried for the second time at the last episode.

It's slow, oh so very slow. It's not going to appeal to a lot of people. 10 for the Scenery alone. While Tucci and Firth are excellent. Most of the rating for this movie go to Colin Firth for his portrayal of a man losing the love of his life. He was brilliant. I felt his pain every step of the way, it was gut wrenching to watch him.

When I started this I watched an episode here and there. As I got further into the show I binged the last three seasons. This is a show that improved with age. It was outrageous and outlandish and very very funny. I like that the cast were there from beginning to end. Everyone played their parts to perfection. I highly recommend this show

I can't believe all of the positive reviews, I thought this movie was awful. Perhaps I'm looking at it 30 years on from when it was made. It hasn't worn well, has that feel of an old cheap made for TV movie. The script was laboured, they could have been reading from cue cards it was that wooden. Half of the conversations, no make that all of the conversations were pointless. Julie Andrews plays what she usually plays, an upper crust English woman. Ann-Margaret character lives in a trailer park in Arkansas so therefore the neighbours are all portrayed as trailer park hillbillies and Ann-Margaret works as a waitress and therefore can't be too bright. Hugh grant plays what he normally plays which is a boring mediocre actor. I could hardly understand what the sick guy was saying as he was either mumbling or the tv in the background was too loud. A very disjointed movie. So many better movies depicting the devastating disease that AIDS was at that time. Thank goodness for better treatments these days to help individuals lead normal lives.

Never heard of this movie before seeing it on prime. Eddie Murphy in a serious role, nails it too. This is a simple moving movie. Good acting by all. It is a little predictable but that's ok.

This was the best movie I've seen in a while, no violence to speak of no bad language, just a gentle moving story. While not downtown abbey I think half the cast are in it!! Lol. I would recommend this movie to those who are looking for something a little different.

The clip I saw made me think it was a comedy which is why I watched it. It's not bad, a bit slow. Fortunately it's not that long!

I wanted to slap Harper, first and foremost. Now to get to the nitty gritty. Do all Americans live in palatial homes, especially at Christmas?? Does no one work in a grocery store? Everyone in the movie was an overachiever. Although I guess that was part of the plot. I would have dumped harpers sorry ass 5 minutes after arriving. Who would want to be associated such a self centred, rude family? A couple of funny moments mostly delivered by Dan Levy. Other than that a teeth grinding awful movie. On a positive note, Kristen Stewart didn't suck.

Just could not get interested in this movie. Seems to me it was a vehicle to show how two gorgeous guys in their youth did not age well!

It preposterous, ridiculous, far fetched and a lot of fun! You must suspend belief to watch this show it is completely ridiculous. First how do they find their clients? Second how do they always manage to get jobs that day in the companies they are taking down? Why is everyone so stupid as to fall for their cons? These are intelligent people running million dollar companies and yet a complete stranger walks in and they are ready to sign on the dotted line? Why are all government agencies stupid? Police and FBI fumble every job. It is definitely an eye rolling series of ludicrous scenarios, but having said that I watched every episode and was sad when it came to an end. It was a fun ride!
