Band of Brothers (2001)
Heros
I wouldn't have lasted one night out there in the forest, and these guys say they are not hero's. Man it goes way, way beyond that. I wish I
could shake the hand of every one of them. My Dad served on a destroyer for six years from 41 to 46. He had no business being alive in
1946 with the action he saw. He was lucky just like the guys who made it through Europe to the end. I am so thankful that I realized he
was a hero before we lost him. Watch this movie if you haven't already, please watch it, we owe these guys that much at least.
I wouldn't have lasted one night.

Finally
I have been trying to figure out the name of this show for years. I stumbled across the answer reading some comments about Camp Runamuck. I was 13 when they were on and loved both shows. I could never understand why they both disappeared so fast. I'm not totally sure TV executives always know what they are doing. I can remember looking forward to Friday nights. My parents usually went food shopping around the time these shows were coming on. As a result I would have a hour of uninterrupted entertainment. I have enjoyed all the comments. It sure would be great if TV land would show these old shows once in a while. I guess there can be a problem getting the rights to show them. Thanks for the memories. Mike
It Happens Every Spring (1949)
Corny as hell!
Yes it's corny, as corny as they come. The baseball scenes aren't the best, but are still very interesting. It's a simple movie and it's hard to believe it could be on someones all time top 10 list. However, that is exactly where it sits for me. I remember a time when it was on once a year in the early spring. One would have to scan the TV guide throughly or risk missing it and having to wait another year. We are so spoiled now. I always judged the wealth of a movie by how it made you feel when it was over. It Happens leaves me feeling.... well.... giddy, happy, full of life, full of what could be possible. I throw it in the VCR a couple of times a year now and always watch it just before the new season begins. Ahhhh, hope springs eternal....If you haven't seen it yet, There's always next year. Mike
