Extraction 2 (2023)
The most stupid betrayal
So, we're in 2023, there are very damn sophisticated guns, transports, way of healing and, the second half of the movie could have been avoided if that phone had a screen lock. 😱😱😱
If the plot was obvious and the betrayal expected, it really lacked of originality on this one. My brain was off and enjoying the very good prison extraction but I can't believe this security nonsense. Obviously nobody reports the missing phone or illegal conversations...
Main characters are just where they need to be without surprise.
The rest is a rather entertaining classical action movie with an open ending for a third movie.
Snowpiercer (2020)
Session 3 is a total disaster
I'm currently at S03E08 and the past 4 episodes were the most boring of the whole show. I can't believe why the writers inflicted this to thewatchers.
Daveeds keeps being worse and worse while Mickey is always suffering or whining for no reason. How such bad characters could keep most the spotlights on?
Daveeds's voice is boring overtime and characters interactions in season 3 don't make sense at all.
This season 3 just feels like the writers attempted to portrait a bit each characters but it ends up filling and waste watchers's time.
Joke aside, I just hope the final season 4 will put back that show on tracks!
Fractured (2019)
Don't watch the trailer!
I shouldn't have watched the trailer because I instantly resolved the puzzle at the accident scene... Rest of the the movie was kinda flat but yet entertaining enough almost until the end.
I expected an end more spectacular like Bates Motel but it was a bit deceiving.
If you like thrillers movies, it is well enough seasoned but too predictable in the way it's filmed.
For me, one of the best thrillers so far remains Prisoners.
Loin du périph (2022)
Pleasant entertainment
Chill movie with a bit of violence and humor seasoned with clichés. For sure there no surprises, the movie rolls smoothly even the pace is rather good.
The competition between the two main characters somehow funny but eventually gets annoying. The end was mostly disappointing, the story should have gone all the way through or not at all because it was very lame.
Netflix has a tendency at not ending well its creations.
Glass (2019)
Such a waste of time...
I was excited to watch this movie after Unbreakable but I'm quite disappointed. Casts are great, the interpretation of the Kevin character is simply excellent but the overall movie is flat.
I've been waiting until 1h for something to happen really, then after I figured out this was leading to nowhere so I kinda gave up on my expectations.
The whole movie is teasing about an interesting fight that never really happens and this kinda mystical ending about a good/evil balance regulation coming out of nowhere is just lame.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Could be better.
Idea is appealing but the whole execution is too sketchy. There are so some good funny lines but too sparse to make this movie really enjoyable.
The amount of excess makes the whole writing not even considering and this is too bad, adding more nuances would have been beneficial.
Everything was predictable and I found myself delighted near the end, when finally the comet does its job.
