archlight and callisto
26 May 2006
Okay guys I just saw x-3 today. I enjoyed it for the most part. It had its flaws but what movie doesn't these days???? Okay my biggest prob with the movie were the aforementioned characters.

Callisto: Was anyone just not annoyed anymore by this b***h more than I was???? My favorite scene in the movie was when Storm fried her sorry a**I wanted nothing more than to sing a chorus of Ding Dong the b*itch is dead when she met her demise.

Archlight: Okay the first time I saw him/her I thought nice to see the dude from the crying game has found work. Than I thought well it has something that looks like breasts so could it be a transvestite??? Hmmm I don't know what it was and probably wont for awhile(yes for those who cant see my sarcasm I know it was a freaking chick playing the part, BUT)the character as a whole was just GROSS.

Kudos though to Famke Jannsen. I thought she did a spectacular job conveying the Dark Phoenix and the trapped Jean Grey within. The scene where she asked Wolverine to kill her was nothing less than heart wrenching.

Hope you guys enjoyed it and keep on discussing X-4. I am sure you will have all rumors and hearsay until it is actually released. Peace.

Very Well Done Movie of the Week
18 May 2003
I was thrilled when they were going to air this movie. Yes, I do agree it basically was the E! True Hollywood Story of a few years ago, but it was exceptionally well done nonetheless.

The acting was good on all parts. I was a little annoyed by the actor who played Don Knotts/Mr.Furley but other than that all of the other actors were more than outstanding in their roles.

The few problems I had with the show other than the above mentioned Don Knotts actor were these: Richard Kline/Larry Dallas not even mentioned. Did they think no one would notice this, or did they just have too much already and could not figure out how to place him in any of it. He was missed.

I also had quarks with the set as well, and the scenes where the Suzanne Somers character complained that her "Tag-On" scenes were just four lines. Recent episodes on Nick-at-Nite that have re-run show that they were NEVER that short.

And the shot of the final episode being taped. Teri Never wore her nurses uniform in the final Three's Company episode. That was way too cheesy.

Other than that it was nicely handeled and I liked that it showed Alan Hamel and the producers of the show to be more of the villains than Suzanne Somers.

One final thought. And this goes back to one of my quirks with the actual show. Will anyone ever really acknowledge that Ann Wedgeworth/Lana Shields was ever on the show?????? I know she was only on for maybe half a season but jeez-louise. Give a older lady/tramp a break. Long Live Lana!!!!!!!!!!!!

Extremities (1986)
See the Play it is better
20 March 2003
While this movie is a good movie, it has the T.V. movie of the week feel to it. The play by William Mastrosimone is tons better, and has a much better ending.

Farrah proved she could play more than everyone's favorite angel with this one, but unlike her "Burning Bed" character, has a bit of a mean streak. Russo is good as the Rapist, as well as Alfre Woodard as the roomate who tries to convince Marjorie she is going too far. Scarwid provides much needed laughs with her stolen "Mommie Dearest" performance as the flaked out roommate.

Camp acting at it's best
20 March 2003
"Don't F**K with me fellas. I know how to get things done the hard way".

This is one of my favorite "bad movies we love". Did they know it was going to be so campy when they made it? My guess is no. Diana Scarwid has always been underrated as an actress. She held her own through all of the film and enjoy watching her("BECAUSE I AM NOT ONE OF YOUR FANS!!!") almost as much as Faye Dunaway.

If this only had gotten more of the recoginition it deserved.

It is on TCM tonight. Record it for a good Laugh!!!!!!!!!

Not as Bad as Part 6
25 October 2002
Warning: Spoilers
This is one of my faves of the Halloween series. Spoilers!!!!!!

Okay, Yes the death of Rachel in the first 15 minutes of the movie is a let down. Especially to be replaced by the idiot Tina character. But, this movie could have totally changed the Halloween series. The mysterious Man in Black character was a very cool added touch, and they could have done so much with that character, until Halloween 6 came along and screwed that one up for good!!!!!!!

Like this one so much because of the dark tone of the whole movie. As a whole not bad as Part 6
