Taskmaster (2015)
Started off ok
First few series were ok but it's gone downhill. The main thing with this show is it all works or fails depending on who is on in each series
Alex Horne ......get rid of him. Just nothing.... no charisma , his attempts at jokes always fall flat.
Budapest (2018)
Enjoyed it 😃
I really enjoyed it. I never started watching it thinking it was a comedy and I never really saw it as one until I read the reviews on here.
It's a lot of fun and as many are comparing it to The Hangover, I may as well join in by saying that in my opinion it was far better than The Hangover which I found unfunny and not entertaining
Human behaviour, aspirations, nudity. It's all here and it's in the top 5 things I've watched on Netflix this year
Cheat (2019)
naive bandwagon jumper
This starts off OK apart from the future spoilers. But it falls apart rapidly. After things like Broadchurch, Bodyguard, Liar, etc, we are only going to get more predictable dramas as they seem to be the in thing.
They are all too similar for me. There's always an affair or two and a scene of somebody running away from a tense scene to bang on a wall in frustration and then there's the obvious seen em all before plot twists and reveals. Yawn.
A ten year old could have written this and I can't believe it was given the green light without being looked at properly. It appears rushed.
Molly Windsor as Rose was terrible. No charisma, no sex appeal at all and every word was delivered exactly the same. Total miscast.
I could pick this 'drama' to bits all day long, but I'm not a big fan of spoilers, so I'll keep it simple and just say that this was an unprofessional unbelievable inchorent mess.
Goal (2007)
poor but promising
OK, so I am a white guy commenting on an Indian movie.
I may be missing something so please put me right if this is the case. I found this film entertaining enough and I did not get bored and found the film was made very well. Quite impressive in places to be truthful. I have watched a few Indian movies over the past couple of years and am getting to know the style. So I know what to expect.
But....the script and the way the story developed was akin to a plot from Scooby Doo or something. It was like a school-kids play. This was a shame because the actors did very well overall. It was just the way things fell into place. This movie is unrealistic, silly and so so corny. But.....still enjoyable in a tacky kind of way.
