Cold Case (2003)
One of my favourite shows
I watched every single episode of this show multiple times and I loved them all! I love crime series and also love shows and films that take place in 50s/60s/70s and Cold Case combines these two things in many episodes. Also, all of the cast are amazing, I love their dynamic and chemistry, especially chemistry between Valens and Rush. I wish they had filmed few more seasons.
A Simple Favor (2018)
Stupid and disgusting
Terrible, simply terrible. The only reason I gave this movie 2 stars instead of one is the acting, whole cast did a really good job but everything else is beyond terrible. "Plot twists" are too predictable and whole storyline is crazy, disgusting mess. And are we supposed to root for Stephanie? I mean, Emily is also moralless and a killer but I can feel more empathy for someone who kills abusive father and sibling that threatens to destroy their life than for person who cheats on her husband with her brother and has sex with her best friend's husband on the day of her funeral. However, all major characters are truly terrible human beings. I kind of like the detective, Darren and his friends but we barely see them. I couldn't wait for the end.
Criminal Minds: #6 (2013)
What kind of FBI agent doesn't look their door?
I love CM and this is very interesting episode but the thing that bugs me is Blakes, FBI agent who deals with most dangerous serial killers and knows how important is to prevent intrudor from getting into your house, doesn't lock her door and doesn't check who is in front of them. I know she knew it was her husband but she not checking if it is really him seems really reckless.
Criminal Minds: Outfoxed (2009)
Miranda doesn't know how to speak Bosian
I love Criminal Minds and this is a good episode but everything related to the war makes no sense for anyone who lives in any of ex Yugoslavian countries. First they say that Miranda is Croatian.but then they talk about Bosnia and victims of Srebrenica, therefore implying that she is Bosian. Also, they should have hired someone from any country of ex Yugoslavia to play her character or someone who at least knows how to proununce the language becuase.accent of actress Kristina Klebe is a joke, and it's no surprise because she is an American.
AlRawabi School for Girls (2021)
No one is simply bad or good
I loved it. It shows that no one is bad by nature, it is the consequence of upbringing or trauma. Three bullies did terrible, monstrous things but later we find out about there life and it is understandable why they became that kind of people. Also, Mariam was a good person but she eventually became as bad as the bullies because od trauma. All the characters showed their bad and good sides. The only character that I see as good is Noaf. She was righterous, but she only wanted to do the right thing, she was able to see good in people that she had considered bad and she knew when they crossed the border and tried her best to stop Layan's death. However, the most heartbreaking thing represented in the show is the fact that brother would kill his own sister for honour. It is truly terrible.
Gone with the Wind (1939)
One of the greatest movies of all times
I love everything about this movie. Of course, in 2022, a lot of things about it are extremely controversial and, naturally, it wouldn't make success if it was made now, but we have to remember that it was filmed more than 80 years ago and therefore, it is ahead of its times. Honestly, it is indeed a bit racist (not as much as the book) but it's also the first movie for which a black person won Oscar which is ground-breaking, as well as the feminism of strong business woman Scarlet O'Hara. All of the actors made remarkable performances and the movie truly deserved those 8 Oscars.
The Weekend Away (2022)
Good, but not great
The plot is interesting, but the film is a little bit slow and some details don't make much sense. However, I loved sights of my hometown and Bukvic's extraordinary performance, he is a truly great actor and deserves worldwide fame. On the other hand, I honestly despise Kate's and Beth's 'friendship'. Beth reffering to Kate as her best friend after finding out about her affair with Rob is rather irrealistic. All in all, this film is watchable and quite amusing but it is also a bit simplistic like some cheap TV movie.
