Amazing horror
17 August 2020
By the end of just the first episode, our characters have survived so much, in a stunning, plot-packed addition to the horror canon.

And like a true horror film, we end on a cliffhanger. It isn't Atticus's father who greets the characters at the door of the giant mansion in Ardham, but rather a blond white man who strangely says, "We've been expecting you Mr. Freeman ... Welcome home." Will they survive whatever comes in the sequel?

Great casting and writing
23 June 2020
Besides the appearance of Walter Koenig's son, the dialog is very interesting in this episode. I swore i heard one of the characters mention Mxyzptlk about half way through. Does anyone have a full script to confirm this? One of the writers must be a Superman fan!

Not a formula film.
2 December 2017
This is one of the best animated films I've seen in a long while. It pulls on the heart strings and manages to teach you about Mexican folklore while telling an interesting story full of beautiful characters. My favorite Disney movie since The Lion King..I rated Coco 10/10 on IMDb.- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2380307/?ref_=prss_rt

One of the best surfer movies
30 December 2014
Although I've only surfed a few times in Hawaii, I've been a big fan of surfer movies since I was a tyke.....and this is one of my favorites. It leads right into Dogtown and the Z Boys, so if you're a skateboarder, this is a great way to check out the roots of that sport also. Danny Kwok and Jeff Parker have big roles in the film and you also learn about how Quiksilver brand got it's start in the U.S......but most of all, this film has some amazing film footage and photo stills from the age when surfing was just starting to become a mainstream phenomenon on the mainland of the United States. This is back when Newport Beach was the center for California surfing.

The Bruce Lee we hardly know about
20 November 2013
I found this movie very entertaining and am happy to read that it sticks fairly close to the biographical facts of his real life. The love between Bruce and his family and friends is really heartwarming and it it was nice to see that, while he was fairly well-off financially and a minor celebrity too, he still enjoyed the wild fun of being a street kid in an urban location. The fact that he managed to get into trouble quite a few times is probably also very true to the actual life of Bruce. The film left me wanting to know more about what happened to his circle of friends in Kowloon after he achieve stardom and whether he really was as shy as portrayed when it came to girls and first romance. I also wonder if the death near the end of the film actually occurred. Still, it was a good movie that tries not to over mythologize the person worshiped today as Bruce Lee.

Grant Gustin as The Flash!! But his hair isn't blonde!!!!!!!
19 November 2013
I'm so happy that they are using ARROW as a way to spin off new DC heroes...the way they did with SMALLVILLE! I just wish they would consider dyeing Grant Gustin's hair blonde so that he REALLY looks more like Barry Allen from the comics! We fans do care about these things!!! Please add your voice to support this idea if you care also! Thanks!! I know the show must think that it's a minor point that doesn't really matter much....and I agree that the ability of the actors to act is MORE important than just his looks....but since hair dye is such a simple alteration these days, it's a modification that doesn't even have to be an issue if the show runner is aware that we care about it!

A show produced for DVD sales...I guess
17 November 2013
I saw this series ONCE....but when you consider that it's broadcast ONLY once a week early on a Sunday morning, even Disney XD doesn't seem to have much confidence in it. I guess it's being produced with hopes of making some cash via DVD sales. I found this series by accident and have seen very little publicity about it. The one episode that I saw showed fairly limited animation and not very impressive scripting.....I hope this isn't an indication of what we can expect from future Disney/Marvel collaborations! It's difficult to write 10 lines about a series that's available on such a limited basis. I'd like to see a few more episodes so that my judgment can be based on a larger sample size but like most people, I like to sleep in a bit on a Sunday morning and haven't been able to catch any others yet.

The Best Superhero Show on TV in 2013
9 October 2013
Sure, it has a lot in common with The X-Men.....but they are only available as animation on TV...or in the movies, so if you want a weekly fix of super-heroics, this is as good as you're going to find on the small screen. The cast is handsome and talented and the special effects are amazing for The CW.....I think they have more amazing effects here than on any episode of Smallville.....So, I'm happy to give it a chance and see how things develop....and if the audience grows, imagine what they could do with a bigger budget.....I just wish TV would stop being afraid giving superheroes costumes!!! I'm getting tired of dark clothes and leather being the apparel worn by all heroes on TV!!!

Extra! Extra! Inferior Re-Make Drives Superior Film into Obscurity!
8 October 2013
I hate when a poorly made new and unnecessary film re-make pushes a superior original into the shadows. The Olivier original is in the Amazon Top 250 Films of All-Time....and yet try to find a copy of it on DVD AT A REASONABLE PRICE. Hopefully, someone will at Amazon will realize that the DVD isn't priced correctly and then the demand will result in a re-release of this DVD! How do we get Amazon to revise their prices? I see this happens sometimes with books on Amazon, but this is the first DVD I've wanted that's been affected by these computer glitches. Is there a CONTACT AMAZON or a complaint center we can refer this to? Please advise them if you know how...Until then, I'll just be patiently waiting for the price to come down on the DVDs of the original version.

Lunopolis on DVD
27 May 2013
I know I can watch this for free on HULU...and pay for a download on Amazon....but WHY doesn't IMDb list if it's available on DVD? I think this site was purchased by Amazon and if there was any place you would think they would advertise the fact that there was a DVD available, it would be here.....BUT NO...they only list the download for this and many other films. Most disappointing as they try to get more people into renting rather than purchasing the films. I guess there's more $$ in it if they can control access more easily. Is this the future of watching films at home? I see the same thing happening with music where CD sales are almost incidental now compared to purchasing individual songs for your IPhones, etc is the dominant way most people collect their music these days.....As a result, the quality of albums tends to drop and in the future, there will probably be fewer movies available with such special features as commentaries by the actors and director....Most disheartening!
