Andy Richter Controls the Universe (2002)
A great show that nobody loved
Here's another example of a brilliant show that never got the recognition it deserved. During its short run, I would have to say that it was easily the funniest sitcom on television (that was still in production). However, I found that Fox constantly gave it weird timeslots, and it was never able to reach a large enough audience.
It had the makings of a classic. It was fresh, funny, and completely unlike all those married-couple sitcom clones. This show had something different, and it pulled it off spectacularly.
Its truly a shame though that it wouldn't be able to reach a large enough audience. The off-centre humour obviously wouldn't be accepted by the general populous, and thus, we are once again left with one sitcom clone after another. How I miss thee, Andy Richter.
Tank Girl (1995)
Avoid this film at all costs
I cannot understand how anyone could subject themselves to this awful awful film. It's just not a good movie. There is only one part of the plot that is acceptable (corporation controlling the worlds water), but thats the only part of the plot/rest of the movie that isnt revolting. Oh, and there's this 10 minute comic sequence of the girls customizing the tank. It's so long and boring, it'll really make you wonder who the green-lighted this junk
1/10
If you ever see this movie on the shelves of a video store, it is your civic duty to try to harm it in any way possible. The store owners might get mad at you at first, but that's only because they havn't seen the movie.
