Totally Killer (2023)
What was this nonsense?
Even from the beginning, I knew I wasn't going to like this movie but then I decided to give it a chance, and well I wasn't disappointed by the absolute garbage this movie turned out to be. I feel like the new gen will like the movie cause of all the politics and diversity, but it's not for me and for plenty others who know what a good movie is.
I didn't think any of the jokes were funny and the whole back to the future time travel trope just didn't sit right with me for this kind of movie.
Absolute waste of time, I wouldn't recommend, do something better with your time please cause this movie isn't worth it.
The Way Way Back (2013)
I don't know why I cried but I did.
Every once in a while, this movie pops into my mind again. At least twice in a year, today is one of those days. This movie was great, I don't know how else to describe it but that. I wish I could watch it again, having the same experience I felt the first time I watched the movie. I cried at the end, cause it left such a fuzzy feeling in my heart. This movie will forever hold a special place in my heart. I can't ever forget it, and I hope I never do. I'd like to watch it again. This time with someone who understands and appreciates the simplicity of movies like this and feel what I felt the very first time I watched it. God I'm tearing up.
Beau Is Afraid (2023)
It was a journey, not a movie.
My first thought was "Oh God three hours?" When I was about to watch the movie but I gave myself reasons why it had to be that long and I'm glad I watched it. I honestly had no idea what I was watching. I was asking myself different questions. Was it real? Was everything all in his head? Cause I thought there was no way any body in this world has the kind of terrible luck Beau had. I was kind of hoping that at one point, we will see that beau is actually just extremely anxious he is imagining the worst case scenario. But alas, he is living in the worst case scenario. There were a lot of clues and puzzles I was hoping he would solve but just before then, something terrible happens and I'm just as clueless as Beau all over again. This was a wonderful movie, I'm impressed. It was an amazing rollercoaster.
Jury Duty (2023)
Original, haven't seen that in a long time.
I loved the concept, loved the acting. The comedy was amazing and each episode had me laughing at a couple of scenes. This was so original too. It's been a while I have seen something that's not the every day, same story line movies that Hollywood has been spewing recently. So this was a good watch, very different and I liked the change. And the part where they gifted Ronald a hundred thousand? Absolutely blew my mind. I was impressed, I was entertained. And it got me a little emotional. This was really good to be honest and I'm thankful to have found this show when I did. Please watch it and if you see any bad review about this show, it's fake. Take it from me.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023)
Ehh
The movie was average to me, very mid. But then I'm not surprised nor am I disappointed. Half of every movie they make lately are very mid. The forced comedy was a turn off, absolutely. Although I found the way they named things Hilarious. Hither-Thither staff? I mean come on, they could have done better than that. It sounded like a lazy attempt at naming something. I could come up with five better names on the spot but what do I know. Anyway, the movie is just basically average, nothing intriguing, nothing fascinating. I watched it, checking the time every minute wanting it to be over. But it's an okay movie.
30 Monedas (2020)
Oh boy
Gather round if you are anticipating the next season as much as I am. Loved every bit of it, the perfect amount of horror, not too much gore but still very creepy, didn't rely on useless jumpscares. And the events are actually terrifying. It's been a while I've had a horror movie interest me like this, I thought it was going to fall short of my expectations but thank christ it's an absolute masterpiece. I really hope the next season is as good as the first. I've been religiously checking my calender, waiting for October to slowly roll by. And it even has a great story line, not just your everyday haunted house and spirits here and there.
Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
What's with all the bad reviews?
Tf? I was just scrolling through IMDM out of boredom and I saw that the rating was a seven? A seven?! I knew I had to say something. The movie was awesomeness personified, original, funny, and everything a movie is meant to have. It had a befitting tittle too! How many movies these days have that? This movie is a straight up ten and I'll continue to recommend it to anybody that hasn't watched it. I loved every bit of it, if I could go back in time to rewatch it, I absolutely would, that's how awesome this movie is.
Now I'm just trying to exhaust my word count, I have got nothing to say, so please watch it!
Barbarians (2021)
It had potential
This movie had potential, I'm not going to lie. The story line was good, it had prospect, they could have done better with it. They gave us proper details about each Character. How Adam was a wimp, eve was the one who wore the pants and Lucas? Well he was such an effing d@#$*. Chloe or what's her name was a very flat character we just know she was Lucas' partner. Their two major flawa was spending too much time giving us proper insight on the characters and not spending time on the plot. Conflict, climax and resolution happened in about ten minutes, that was stupid in my opinion. The second flaw was with the loose plot hole. So many unimportant things presented to us as important. For example the fox! What was the use? The significance, they showed that sh@*# a million times I thought it was going to be important to the story but alas it wasn't. Anyway they could have done better, acting was good too. It's passable, nothing great about it.
Barbarian (2022)
How una dey rate this kind film 7?
I had to write the title in pidgin cause that's how pained I am? Why would you rate this kind of movie 7? I thought I was going to be in for a fun ride when I saw Bill Skarsgard (forgive my misspelling) but it was absolute nonsense. Boring, not thrilling, uninteresting story line. I didn't understand the point of the movie, everything was just going up and down, left and right. I gave it a three because it had potential from the beginning, but when it got to the "horror" part, it's like the writer or director just lost interest and did free for all, anything goes. With all the hype I expected it to be better, sorely disappointed. Don't recommend.
The Pope's Exorcist (2023)
Good story bad acting
I love the fact that this movie didn't use jump scares to try and make the movie "scare" us like the way a lot of movies do these days, that was refreshing at least. My only problem with the movie is the terrible acting. Only Russel was a great actor. The rest; mother and her children were not so great in the movie. The supporting father also tried but that's about it, the rest were terrible actors. The story line was good, it wasn't scary, not in the least but it was still a good horror film. And the vfx or cgi or whatever were equally not great. Russell carried the movie, you can't tell me otherwise.
Doctor Sleep (2019)
Awesome
It was a great movie, loved the plot progression, loved the acting. Everything was perfect. And the casting too. Every single person in that movie. Every single named character was fine asf 😭😭. It was it just me? Even the bad guys. Each of them were fine too. I don't know what to say again but I have to write a required number of words. So yeah. Watch the movie, it was great. It was long though, extremely long but I didn't mind one bit I ate every single second. Such a great film, so yeah. Very great a movie, I don't know what to write again please help. Very great movie yes indeed it was great.
Wednesday (2022)
Not for me though.....
This is..... disappointing. That's it. Very very. To be honest I wasn't hyped for the movie cause i already knew it was not going to be to my taste. Netflix adapting Addams family. It was going to be a waste of time. But then I actually watched it and I felt new depths of disappointments. Turned the movie into a "teen supernatural romance" kind of movie and removed all the dark humor so as not to offend anybody? Lol. When did Pugsley become such a wimp. I couldn't even feel the love between Morticia and Gomez. I wouldn't too cause Gomez has never been a fat, ugly, creepy man. They are supposed to be a weird misfit family showing their love in their own kind of way to each other. But the parents are not proud of their children's behavior. I'm suprised with all the tens I'm seeing. I'll have to say they come from people who haven't seen the original. Cause this is definitely not the Addams family. This is some cliched teen supernatural romance where the weird girl falls in love. I'm done with this. I can't keep watching. Enjoy.
Bullet Train (2022)
Was a good watch
To be honest the beginning was almost discouraging, five minutes into the movie and I thought the chemistry between tangerine and lemon was not there, the prince girl tried too hard to come off as a psycho. And the comedy was a little stiff for my liking. But I stuck with it and it was quite okay. I enjoyed the fact that a lot of my favorites appeared in the movie though. But the movie was nothing spectacular. The action scenes were very good. I was going to give it a five before, but the movie became better from the middle and I actually laughed like twice at the jokes. So all in all it wasn't a bad movie.
Modern Family (2009)
Cameron
I love the show, it's very interesting and funny. Although I have to admit, not all episodes were funny, especially from season five, most of the episodes were not funny, but they were interesting enough to keep me captivated with the whole show. And then they did this little, life lesson at the end of most episodes with some background music and it always made me tear up. But Cameron! God that guy annoys the heck out of me, at first it was hilarious but overtime it became annoying, he dishes out what he can't take, overly dramatic, overly sensitive, makes a big issue out of everything and then if he's in the wrong he finds a way to blame it on the other party it's so annoying. And then Mitch all because he loves Cam takes everything in stride, it's annoying tbh. That being said my fav characters are Gloria and Mitch.
Athena (2022)
It had potential but it fell short
I rated this movie the day it came out but for some reason. It wasn't posted. This movie lacked depth. The story line was weak. They had a great plot to be honest. And they could have done so much more. It would have been a tear jerker but unfortunately they didn't maximize the plot. The only thing good was the camera that they used to shoot this movie. The movie lacked greatly. Just flashing lights, fireworks and a lot of shouting and fighting. If that's what it takes to make a great movie. A lot of movies would have been awesome. Like I said the plot had potential. But the writer and director didn't know how to maximize it and it just fell short. It's a good movie. But it's nothing intense really.
Fall (2022)
It was good in all the wrong places.
I'm not a climber, but I have common sense. I understand that the writer was trying to go for whatever tf he was trying to go for. But if he was trying to go for thrilling it wasn't at all. Because two stupid girls decided to climb an abandoned rusty tower. From that moment I knew everything that could go wrong would go wrong so it totally removed the thrill from the movie. How tf would you go climbing without a back up plan, without a plan b. I understand if you didn't check THE TOWER YOU WANT TO CLIMB BEFOREHAND!!! But I'm pretty sure there were other safety measures they could have put in place. No one at the bottom?! Parachutes maybe!? Once again I'm not a climber I do not know, also at the beginning what was the whole jumping to hug are boyfriend for. Y'all were just stupid. Stupid people die stupidly. Their stupidity removed the thrill. It was interesting to watch but didn't get my heart racing or whatever.
Nightbooks (2021)
That was
How old is Yasmine. Why did they make her act older than her age. Like a black tough baddie. That was stupid to me. And the witch?! Lol she was dressed like a teen in a goth phase. Didn't like it one bit. And as for the boy. I mean a little bit good acting on his part but I don't think that's how writers act. I'm a writer myself and I started a very young age. Bruh that's not how it is lol. The only good acting was from the cat. I understand it's a children's movie but come on, I've seen better wtf. And the CGI, my God. Just terrible stuff. I meaaann. The whole 8 and 7 stars I'm seeing are gross exaggerations. The movie is bad. Not even scary for kids This whole movie is just lol to me. That's how bad it is. Lol.
The Mick (2017)
Why did they cancel this?
This show was hilarious. I ate every bit up. I don't understand why they canceled this show. The rating was great. Canceling it after such a cliffhanger was a terrible move. Terrible. I had to go online to read what might have happened in the next season. Wrong move FOX wrong move.
The Gray Man (2022)
Another plotless movie
I wasn't hyped to see this movie. When I did. I didn't regret it. But I wasn't happy either. It's just another cliched action movie with zero plot. I didn't even finish it before I stood up. With the actor line up I expected more. I didn't actually. From the beginning I knew exactly how it was. It's good for passing time. Nothing more. Just a lot of fight scenes with no plot.
The Good Place (2016)
It was quite good
Honestly the show was great. Season one was slow at first but when it got to the ending of the first season it started to get really interesting. But then everything started to fall flat again towards the end of season two. There were too much merry go rounds too much plot twists. Traveling to earth and bad place and good place it was all just too much. It kinda made it look like they were trying to stretch the show as much as they could. And also I don't like how they made Jason, Nickelodeon kind of stupid. They made him look like a very dumb kid. At least they coulda made him a dumb adult. Apart from those two things. The series was quite okay.
Fleabag (2016)
WTF WAS THAT AWESOMENESS!
I absolutely enjoyed it. Season 1 was a riot but season 2. Oh dear lord. It was extremely awesome. I absolutely loved every bit of it. I couldn't stop watching. Hilarious, it had drama. It was also kind of sad. I absolutely enjoyed it. If there's ever a season 3. I'm all for it.
Hot in Cleveland (2010)
Great show
This show was beautiful. Loved every bit of it. I loved the four women. And oh Betty White was adorable. I can't even pick my favorite woman in the show cause they were all so perfect. And I loved the end. Oh so beautiful. I'll miss this show but I'll eventually move on. Thank you.
2 Broke Girls (2011)
Loved it!
I don't know why this series is getting a lot of hate. I loved it! Admittedly Max's acting looked forced but eventually I got used to it, it was generally hilarious although some scenes were dry but it was interesting. I could see pieces of myself in Max and Caroline both. And im glad they both got what the seer said they would get. Success for Caroline and a family for Max. I absolutely loved the show.
Yip Man: Zong shi jue xing (2021)
Disappointed
The story line was boring and definitely not attention catching. The action scenes were really great but apart from that. Boring and totally bad compared to the previous IP MAN movies.
The Man from Toronto (2022)
Waste of time
It was generally unfunny to me. It was basically like every pointless fast paced action movie they spew out. I just kept fast forwarding the movie. I didn't find Kevin Hart funny. He was basically mostly just shouting. It's not all bad. Like everyone else said it's a good movie if you want to pass time. Don't expect anything much.
