Anacondas: Trail of Blood (2009 TV Movie)
4/10
Much better than 3
28 February 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Anacondas: Trail of Blood is the sequel to Anaconda, Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, and Anaconda 3: Offspring. Now in my opinion, three was the weakest entry. Four was better because it had better CGI, acting, and FX. However, this was not enough to save the film.

The film is about the baby Anaconda from the third film who is cut in half and regenerates into two snakes. We also see the return of the blood orchid from the second film. It is explained a lot more in how it works and a new hybrid is created. This was obviously used to establish a connection between the previous films. There are a set of armed men sent into to track down Amanda (The survivor from part 3), who "Knows too much." As usual, the some-what of a plot moves forward as each character is picked off one by one.

It was better than the third installment. The snake was more realistic, but it's still clearly CG. It was nice to see the blood orchid again from the second film. It still had blood and gore, but I didn't mind it in this one because it looked more realistic (even though you can still tell it's fake- an improvement over the third film). I think it showed the filmmakers wanted to improved it, so it could be better than the third. But again, it didn't live up to the first two films. It was just a plain old monster movie the SciFi Channel shows all the time. Instead of making Anacondas 3 and 4, they should have titled it after the Python or Boa films and it would be equally as popular. It is not that bad of a film. It is enjoyable if you keep an open mind, but I would have preferred an Anaconda film with a larger budget and it to be released in theaters like the first two. The ending has a set up for an Anaconda 5, but I don't think it will happen.

I had always hoped that the Anaconda Series would continue in the future since the release of the second film, but what was released was just an insult to the fans of the first two films. These SciFi films are horrid compared to the older films. The snake was pretty cool and some scenes were entertaining, however, this was not enough to save the film.

If you're interested in monster films and don't mind poor CG FX, then I'd say watch the film. Otherwise, don't bother and watch the first two films. The plot is boring, the characters are flat, and it doesn't have any spirit in it. As far as I'm concerned, the last two films in the series have killed off the series.

4/10 only for the improvements over the third film.

The Saddle Club: Back in the Saddle (2008)
Season 3, Episode 1
9/10
Cool! The Saddle Club is Back!
30 November 2008
The Saddle Club with the original cast ended production in 2003, and the producers left it for the series to end. Six years later, the producers re-casted everyone and made a series 3.

This episode was pretty interesting, and it was good to see a continuation of the Saddle Club. In series 3, the new kids are YOUNGER than the original kids in season 2, which is pretty confusing and makes the new series a little less entertaining.

But it was still very good and it felt like the old show with the story lines and action. The acting is similar to the previous seasons, so I think that's pretty good.

It's not the same with the new kids, but still enjoyable. I give it a 9/10.

Excellent Installnment!!!! JP3 is GREAT!
29 November 2008
Jurassic Park 3 was released on July 18, 2001 and it was GREAT! The storyline is good, but some people dislike it. I think it's good because it explains what people did after they found out the dinosaurs exist on the islands. It features the usual and new dinosaurs that look REAL between the CGI and Animatronics.

The Dinosaurs are even better than the previous two films! This time the film takes you to a new area of Isla Sorna, the island in the second film. There are the new Pteranodons and Spinosaurus, and new looking raptors.

The actors are really good and take you along for the ride. They are believable characters.

JURASSIC PARK /// is a great film in my opinion. A lot of fun! You'll enjoy it. Just don't watch it thinking it's bad, or you will think that.

**BRING ON JPIV ALREADY!!!!**

Anaconda 3: Offspring (2008 TV Movie)

Uhh... Anaconda 3?
27 November 2008
Warning: Spoilers
Anaconda 3, sequel to Anaconda (1997) and Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid (2004). Hmm, maybe sequel is too strong of a word.

Anaconda 3 may have "Anaconda" in the title, but nothing like the previous installments. It doesn't have the pull or attraction the other films had. There is far too much blood and gore, and the CGI isn't the best, but I've seen worse. In some scenes (Such as the opening scene) the snake looks pretty good, but as it moves on, it begins to look like a shiny piece of plastic that moves. Why couldn't it look like the opening for the entire film?

The plot is about a military man who is hired to capture two giant Anacondas that escaped from a lab. This is the typical plot that sci-fi channel uses for their films, though I don't believe they produced it. Sony did.

These are some ways the plot could have been perfected to make it a good Anaconda film, or at least half way decent.

*Set the story in a remote area, not a local park.

*Have people go in search for the snake that just was there in the wild, no genetic experiments.

*Loose the blood and Gore.

*Spend more time on CGI than casting.

*Don't rush the film.

*Before you make a sequel, watch the previous films before you write the script.

And much more. The film would have been better with a different title, like Python 4 or Boa 3,(because Boa vs. Python is in a way Python 3 and Boa 2.) It's okay, but don't expect the greatest film. I really don't want to call it a member of the series, but Anaconda IV is coming in December. Hopefully the producers see some of these reviews and change a few things before the release such as the blood and gore.

*****There is no point to rush a bad movie. Take your time too make higher standards.*****

3/10 I give it just for the snake scenes that looked okay.
