Saw II (2005)
Lame...
I don't dislike cheesy horror movies, but when they try to be smart, but actually aren't, they're a waste of time...
Absolutely none of the character's actions in this movie are believable. They're all just stupid who always do exactly what Jigsaw anticipated, although there are so many other possibilities. Sure, they're scared and under a lot of stress, but absolutely nobody seemed to make any good moves - even guinea pigs would've been able to come up with something. The characters in Saw 2 are all like "okay, I know this place is full of booby traps, but I'll run around and touch everything dodgy-looking anyway and see what happens!".
And the detective... he should've known not to play with Jigsaw right at the start. Rule #1: Don't let the psycho play with you.

Cheesy acting, amazing acrobatics
I disagree with the people who claim that the acting in this movie's good - I honestly think it's very cheesy and mediocre most of the time. This and its poor attempts at being humorous ruin the serious themes of the story (such as the intrusion of Western culture) which could've been quite decent.
The only great things this movie has are the fight scenes - or rather, the acrobatics scenes. The fights aren't very brutal; mostly Jet Li et al just jump around a lot doing cool kicks and flips. Again, I would've preferred some more seriousness.
I think kids and teenagers would like this movie quite a lot. I wouldn't recommend this movie to a more mature audience, except martial arts fans.

Artistic, Kick-ass Martial Arts, Great Story
Some people don't like this movie because a lot of the scenes are unrealistic or overdone. My response to that: this movie isn't meant to be realistic - it's meant to be fairytale-like and exaggerated. The scenes in this movie are extremely beautiful.
For those who don't care about artistic stuff, this movie has serious ass-kicking martial arts scenes too! They aren't bloody and ultra-violent, but they are amazing and intense nevertheless. In my opinion, the actions scenes in this movie blow away the ones in The Matrix series any day.
The plot of this movie is brilliant too.
Funny Games (1997)
Shocking, yet amazing
This movie is extremely demented, evil and brutal. As some other reviews here said, this movie doesn't make you happy - it depresses and shocks you.
However, that's not necessarily a bad thing. The acting is very believable and the characters, especially the two psychopaths, are very interesting, although I wish we would have learned more about them. But I guess this movie isn't really meant to give us insight into human psychology.
This movie is unique. I've never seen a movie of this style before - it's totally different from Hollywood stuff.
I wouldn't recommend this movie to people with a faint heart. If this doesn't apply to you, then I'd recommend this to you. I think this movie is quite amazing! (I gave it a 9/10)

Unreasonable and Unconvincing
I normally like movies with cops and crime, but this movie was poor.
It's slow-paced, has lots of boring cop-and-wife-arguing-about-their-relationship scenes which we've all seen before and most of the other stuff we're shown is irrelevant.
There's only one great moment in this movie; just before the climax, when the viewer isn't really sure who to believe - the suspects or the protagonist's partner (Ray Liotta). But then the protagonist's parter just starts acting completely irrationally (beating up the suspects, beating up his parter and threatening to shoot him etc), even for an aggressive and nervous cop, when he could just f***ing tell his partner what's going on.
I really wouldn't recommend you wasting your time watching this.
