Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023)
An increadible movie!
The movie was very enjoyable. The world and themes were amazing , being the DnD world sith all its creatures.
It was a very funny movie, (I currently had an amazing time.
The cast did an increadible job playing their characters. And the chemistry they had made every scene even better.
I don't any complaints from the story. It felt like
the acters were playing a DnD Champaign, and this was the result.
Michelle Rodriguez and Chris Pine did an amazing work as the lead actors, but for the star of the show was Justice Smith as Simon the Sorcerer of the group.
The villain of the movie was pretty good to, nothing super wow.
Overall an magical experience, I will certainly rewatch.
The Old Way (2023)
I enjoyed it.
First of I haven't watched a lot of westerns.
I watched this movie because I knew Cage as an actor.
It was a very nice film with a good plot.
The script wasn't the best.
It didn't have any CGI and i feel like this made me enjoy the movie a bit more, you can say it cleaned my palette, it made me relax and just enjoy the movie.
I believe Cage played really well and I liked the main villain. The daughter of the character who Cage playes was really good too.
My favorite character was for sure the one Cage played.
The music wasnt anything incredible.
I would definitely rewatch this movie, it was pretty good.
Glass Onion (2022)
The predecessor of this was better
A Knives Out story Glass Onion was a very different expirience from the first film of Rian Johnson.
Still an amazing detective story that Detective Blanc got mysteriously attracted to. This time based in Greece, on a private island in Aigeo.
The actors playing this characters were way more famous. The cast of the last film had very few familiar faces,( talking about my experience ) and I feel like that grew expectations for this film for me.
My favourite character in this film was Detective Blanc, that didn't change from the last movie.
The music was a lot better than last time. I do believe some of the song were great, and perfectly chosen for the scene they played in.
The camera work was magnificent, and the little cgi they used for this film wasn't half bad.
I liked the reveal at the and, of course no spoilers, but I personally didn't guess the murder.
I would definitely rewatch this film. It was very entertaining.
King Tweety (2022)
The old cartoons areback and look different
This was a pleasant experience, it's a simple looney tunes movie with are friends from old times Tweety, Silvester and Granny.
My favorite character in this film was for sure Silvester.
The new animation style was weird for me at first but I enjoyed it a lot at the end. I really liked the way they fused the old jokes and expressions of the looney tunes with the new animation style.
The music was enjoyable, but the movie didn't have any song that I can tell you I will be remembering.
It had a lot of adult jokes for the parents watching. I do feel like the kids will catch some of them, but they aren't that bad I believe.
Finally I would certainly rewarch this movie, I found it amusing and it made me remember of the old cartoons.
Wickensburg (2022)
The not so magical movie.
This movie is just not good
It has it's moments with a few good jokes, but generally it is not a very good film.
The acting was not amazing and the filmaking is not that far behind either.
The music wasn't half bad actually.
The villain of the movie was not good.
My favourite character was probably Willow the girl who befriends our protagonist and believes she is a witch.
Very little CGI was used but it was bad, (not horrible, don't get me wrong).
The first part of the movie was really boring, but the second was enjoyable. The ending felt rushed to me, ( didn't enjoy that).
I would not rewatch this movie, a lot of stuff that happened came out of nowhere and they repeated phrases over and over again so it became boring.
Meet My Mother (2023)
The title I saw was "Engaged to be Murdered" but ok
The first thriller of the year, I didn't like the plot.
The character didn't apeal to me and I felt like something was missing from the script.
The music was nicer than I expected ( but not incredible).
I didn't enjoy the acting from all the actors.
I didn't like the threat of the movie at all, it felt forced.
The ending wasn't good in my opinion, the movie felt to long even tho it's just a 90 minute movie. (aka it was a bit boring at some points).
It didn't have any characters I really enjoyed, ( they all where one dimensional ).
I can say that I found the mother the most annoying character in this.
I wouldn't rewatch this film.
The Dog Lover's Guide to Dating (2023)
Better than I expected but 😅
It wasn't the best film in the world but it wasn't the worst ever
This film has good messeges but they are delivered to straight forward and they make them feel stupid
The actors are doing a very good job but the filming wasn't the best
Things would come out of nowhere and the way the scenes were changing were just a simple black screen => next scene
It just had some non copyrighted music, nothing special
I liked the whole dog trainer theme of the movie but everything else was "meh"
My favorite character was probably Radar, Alex's dog/partner
I wouldn't rewatch this, but I will admit I am not the biggest romance movie fan.
Best of Stand-Up 2022 (2022)
Not good
This was not what I wanted.
It was one joke from each comedian, but it felt like the took the worst jokes out of all the shows 😢.
The ones I actually found funny was Gabriel Iglesias's gyros joke, Ali Wong's joke and Nick Kroll's joke.
As I said the jokes chosen were not the best of the year like they say they are.
This type of movie is a good idea, but I don't feel like this is the correct way to do it.
The first movie I watched this new year, hope that the next ones are better.
It did make me want to watch a stand up show, but only so I can tell myself that stand up this year wasn't that bad.
Knives Out (2019)
Knives out was really nice.
I am a big fun of detctive / mystery movies, and this one was one of the better ones I've watched.
It had a very good cast and I loved the theme and camerawork of the movie.
My favourite character was Detective Blanc.
The music didn't hit me that hard, but i didn't bother me.
A thing that i enjoyed a lot was the when and how they used the flashbacks.
Also I liked the very small but smart hints all over the movie about the case so the audience can try and solve it themselves.
Overall the think i felt when I finished it was satisfaction.
One thing I can say for sure is that I can't wait for future projects. ( Glass Onion here I come)
