Manhunt (2003)
I've played over 100 games and this is easil the worst
Just to give you an understanding of how bad this game is, I've played 120 something games and I with out hesitation can say this is the worst. I always will hear out different opinions on games I like or dislike but I cannot understand any justified opinions on this game actually being good.
I'll start out with some positives (,there aren't very many)
-for the most part the character design is fine nothing amazing but memorable enough
-the sound effects are done decently well
-the idea is definitely there and this COULD be a decent game
-the graphics are pretty good for the time
Now the bads:
-the game is ridiculously boring and I legit started falling asleep while playing
-the combat is absolutely atrocious and that's an understatement because there is not a word in the English language that could describe how awful it its
-the stealth is mind-bogglingly dull and the entire game is just standing in shadows
-the level design is so dull and forgettable
-the characters are so uninteresting and I don't even know how I managed to remember some of the names.
-there's barely any Gameplay features meaning the 10 hours qorth of Gameplay is just repetitive and boring (just like the level design)
Overall if you want to play a rockstar game from the 2000s play Max Payne or gta not this abomination. It relies solely on shock factor with the violence and does nothing else to make it stand out.
It's boring, repetitive and feels Unfinished.
Walking with the Dead (2015)
Okay for what it is
People who give it a 1 - 3 clearly haven't seen any of the things this movie is making fun off because it does a very good job of parodying it. Obviously it's not very good but that's the point it did genuinely make me laugh a few times. Basically if you've seen the movies it's parodying then you might like it. It's absolutely stupid in every way but that's what it sets out to do. It perfectly makes fun of the walking dead and zombieland aswell as that other Nicholas Hoult movie (forgot the name). Its just dumb fun people who are giving it low reviews don't undertsnad what a parody is or just have a boring sense of humour.
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021)
5.2 is harsh (very Minor spoilers)
It's by no means a great movie but it's really not as bad as people make it out to be. It is definitely a faithful adaptation which is a good thing but the amount of references is a bit too much. People hate on the characters a bit much aswell.
Claire and Chris are both decent, Wesker and Jill are okay, even Chief Irons Is fine obviously a lot of people have a problem with how Leon was adapted and while I would have preferred him to be a bit more like he is in the games, he's mostly fine. Birkin doesn't have very much screen time but he could be worse
The last 20 minutes really do bring this down quite a bit though. The first hour and 20 minutes were just decent resident evil fun and I don't get why people say its boring but the once Claire and Leon find Chris and Jill it gets kind of terrible. William Birkin all of a sudden has shockingly bad lines and the CGI is absolutely Horrible but it was made on a low budget so I can't Complain too much. The practical effects and set design are pretty good though so it makes up for it. While throughout most of the runtime the movie is fine and there are some genuinely good scenes mixed in there. I really like the scene where the screen is pitch black and the only light is when Chris shoots his gun. The Spencer mansion scenes in general are pretty good but that scene especially stands out.
Overall its not great but its certainly not as bad as people say so if you're a fan of Resident evil atleast try watching it.
Benidorm (2007)
Went on too long
Seasons 1-7 were absolute peak British comedy but after that it did fall off. Season 1 was a perfect start amd it introduced lots of iconic characters who either leave the show half way or dip in and out over the seasons.
If you ask me, while Season 7 was good overall it did ruin the show as the Garveys left. They were up to that point where the main characters and it really devolved into cheap jokes and bad actors so if I were someone watching it for the first time I'd stop at Season 7. Season 8 and 9 were fine but definitely weren't as good but Season 10 was just bad. Even though seasons 4 - 7 were good they did remove a lot of great MAIN characters.
Red Dead Redemption II (2018)
Best game ever made
This is by far the greatest game to ever be made. Not only does it have the beat storyline I've ever seen in a game, it has some of the absolute greatest fictional characters ever made. All the main complaints I see for the game are completely stupid.
The most common one I see is that you spend to much time riding horses but that's like saying you do too much jumping in mario or that you drive to much in GTA if you've ever played an open world game then you understand what I mean. People who call it dull either played a different game or didn't give it a chance before judging it. I've had it a week and already got 45% completion it's so good that I can't bring myself to put it down.
The Voices (2014)
Surprised me
At first I was getting kinda bored but as the movie goes on it gets surprising deep especially for a movie with Ryan Reynolds in.
I'm assuming the lower ratings are people who just watched the movie without really thinking about it but when you look deeper into it, it's good.
I will admit it does have a very slow start but font turn it off because it does get far better when at first I expected a dumb Ryan Reynolds comedy. Ryan Reynolds is actually decent at doing the whole psychopath role which was unexpected. It is a movie where it even made the end credits contribute to the movies plot. So I was pleasantly surprised with this one.
Five Nights at Freddy's (2023)
A fnaf fan's review
As a long time Fnaf fan I think it was actually pretty decent and the reviews are very harsh and unfair "it should have been more like the game." I guarantee people would be complaining more if the entire movie was just a night guard shutting doors.
In terms of the look of the film its a 9/10 the tone and set peices are incredible and look perfect.
In term of story, its okay it could be a lot worse but its nothing special
My main complaint os that it's simply just not scary. The 1st one was so good because too this day its scary.
The characters are fine and interesting enough to make me care about them
Overall its decent and If you're a fan you'll probably like it.
Blue Beetle (2023)
Decent
I went into the movie expecting a fun comic book movie but nothing special and that's basically what it was. While there where some scenes where the acting wasn't particularly good, the preformeces where fine. It has a pretty generic villain but most superhero movies do so it doesn't really bother me. The fan service is done very well in this movie as the amount of references isn't too much. For example it was fun to say Dan Garret get mentioned as he rarely does in anything and showing some of Ted kord's gadgets from the comics was fun. There is two ways of looking at the end credits. If the movie is set in the new dcu then it's an exciting ending and does a good job setting up a sequel whether that will happen or not. Or looking at it as a dceu movie where the ending is a big load of nothing. Overall its not one of the great superhero movies but it's not one of the worst.
The Incredible Hulk (2008)
Most overhated mcu movie
This movie gets alot of hate and I fail to see why. Alot of people complain the script is bad but I think it's fine. Yes the acting isn't amazing but I've seen way worse im gonna be straight up honest and say Liv Tyler is doing the worst performance here. I genuinely think this movie has to ruined by the amount of unnecessary hate. Edward Norton is an underrated hulk and I can't decide whether I prefer him or Ruffalo. Overall new fans don't let the negative reviews put you off because its a genuinely pretty good movie that should not get as much hate as it gets and should be recognised for the good parts.
