Punch-Drunk Love (2002)
Horrible sound track
The most annoying sound track ever full of dings, bongos and discordant sounds signifying the chaos of his life, I guess. Save yourself and run from this movie before it's too late. A complete waste of time. Sandler should stick to comedies before his career goes down the toilet.
Two Weeks Notice (2002)
Spare me another environmentalist protester heroine
I knew this would suck before 5 minutes had gone by. The opening montage of the 5 year old female with her peace symbols and "Impeach Nixon" signs laid out the familiar Hollywood territory. Poor people good-big business bad. Of course, only liberals and environmentalists have integrity or character. God forbid a company should build what they want on their own property.
Stealing Harvard (2002)
unbelievable
Even as a rental movie, this was the worst piece of garbage I've ever seen, I kept watching amazed that anything so bad could get made. I figured it had to get better, but it never did. The people involved must be cowering in shame.
Serving Sara (2002)
The biggest piece of Crap ever.
How stupid do you have to be to give this movie anything higher than a 3. You must spend 20 hours a day watching MTV and Nickelodeon and have never seen anything decent. Please get help. Expose yourself to the movies that are 8s and 9s on the IMDb.
Gettysburg (1993)
Outstanding film
This film does an outstanding job of presenting both political views in a historically accurate presentation. If you have the usual gnat-like attention span of modern viwers, the 6 hour epic is not for you.
Otherwise, all key aspects of the battle are presented showing the key historical figures carrying out their correct actions. The 6 hours does allow the figures dialogue true to the situation. The emotions may seem over the top to those who haven't faced death during warfare. To those who have known the experience, the feeling the men have for their comrades rings true. The battle scenes especially Pickett's Charge are accurate and carried out by Civil War Reenactors.
The Royal Tenenbaums (2001)
Comedy or Drama?
I don't think the movie could decide what approach to take. Essentially the clips appeared to be marketed as a comedy with Royal as a latter day Auntie Mame. The actual movie almost had no additional humor than that found in the previews. The actual tone was melancholy.
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)
Souless, convoluted plot,
The original Star Wars was on a personal scale. 5 or so interesting characters in simple conflicts with characters you cared about. An archtype story should be black and white. Now we get 50 characters in major roles, a convluted plot of Senates, trade wars, clones etc etc etc none of which I cared about. At this point I'd like to choke Yoda.
