Incredibly annoying
23 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The whole movie annoyed me so much. I can't believe no one is mentioning the Christian woman who was absurdly annoying and got so much screen time.

I nearly turned it off half way through because of her.

Then the neighbour who just decided he wouldn't look at any evidence of the creature and just went on a suicide mission for no good reason.

Nearly every character was irritating.

Then just to top it off that ending. I mean who would just give up like that and shoot there own child in the face, there were so many other options but this.

I don't know how this movie has so many good reviews it is terrible.

Better than I thought but not amazing
25 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The good:

The actress who played Ariel was really good and her voice was really nice. They didn't change the original songs too much which was good and nostalgic. I quite liked the visuals and didn't think the cgi was bad as others have said.

The bad:

Scuttle. What the hell were they thinking? Scuttle was a slightly dopey but lovable character and they made it unlikable and really annoying. Sebastian passable but not great. Flounder looked really weird.

The most annoying thing about this remake is the new songs. All of which are absolute terrible and I couldn't wait for them to stop. Especially the scuttle one which was literally unbearable to the ears.

Warning: Spoilers
Tom hardy is amazing in this. The emotion that he portrays in certain parts had me in tears. The chemistry between him and Charlotte is also amazing and really sells it.

In fact I've seen it several times and each time I am still taken back by how good the acting is and how emotional the story is. It's deep and very haunting.

While they are very toxic you can't help but fall in love with them and wish for them to be together.

But as this is obviously based on a very old and well known book of the same name i knew how it was going to end.

I only knocked one star of because I didn't particularly like the younger Katherine's (her daughter) part as much it's not bad but not as engrossing as the other part. I wish there had been less of her story and more of Kathy and heathcliff's. Other than that it was perfect.

I'm bored
7 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
To save you the hassle of watching this I will explain exactly what goes on.

Ominous music plays.. some kind of seafood gets killed or chopped up in a gory way.. the main characters drink incredible amounts of red wine.. the wife gets a million baths.. pointless characters appear and then disappear just as fast... the baby swaps between real and doll... nothing happens... nothing makes any sense... culinary chat... investigations that lead to nothing.

Just don't bother. It has a strange way of keeping you hooked in despite absolutely nothing happening. It's boring and kind of annoying after a while.

There is no story in this movie whatsoever. It's really boring.

I heard good things about it and eventually watched it and I'm so disappointed.

So much grim mindless torture porn.

No characters have common sense. It's not scary in the slightest either just really really dull and sadistic.

I don't understand how people are rating this highly. What is there to like? Im not a fan of gore movies but I can appreciate it if the story is good but this is just rubbish.

I watched this thinking I'll watch the second one straight after and I'm not even going to bother.

2 points for the clown which would have been better in a completely different movie.

Not great
26 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Aaron is the dumbest character.

He should have left as soon as the guy got into the bath and started to have a pretend bath with his apparent unborn baby.

He didn't though and continued to deal with the weirdness.

The story about his wife should have been enough to really convince him to keep away but again he didn't.

Then he gets sent weird gifts and really creepy stalker behaviour continues and yet he still goes to meet this guy. I mean, why?

Could he have not shown the cops the creepy gifts or the video tapes? Surely he could have done anything except actually meet the guy. It's pretty obvious from the beginning he is unhinged.

Really weird and pointless movie
25 April 2023
I saw this movie had a high rating and was excited to see it. The beginning started of pretty good and I was wondering where it would go.

But then all of a sudden after an incident it turns really really strange and nonsensical. I had no idea what was going on.

I tried to persevere because of the ratings but it just got worse and worse and it was unbearable to watch. I don't understand this movie or why it was even made. I'm not sure what it was trying to achieve.

Anyway I ended up switching it off before the end because it was so silly and annoying. I do not recommend wasting your time with this.

Creepier than I remember
20 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I used to love this movie as a kid, I thought it was really cute. When I saw it recently I thought I would give it a rewatch.

It's much creepier than I remember I have to be honest.

The bad: Josie appears to need the validation and admiration of high school kids even though she is an adult now and seems more concerned about that than her job as an undercover reporter. She crushes on an underage boy.

Really bad: The teacher has no idea she isn't underage and acts like a complete creep around her. It's so weird.

Rob is extra creepy too, he's a fully grown adult with a 16 year old high school girlfriend.

There is also so many creepy comments from other adult characters about the school girls butts or how hot they are etc. It's just really bad.

Disregarding all that I did give it 6/10 because I like the story.

Warning: Spoilers
No I did not watch this expecting a movie about cannibalism to be an easy watch but this was too far.

It started off pretty good and looked like it might be quite interesting but as soon as they are taken to the village it just goes beyond entertainment and is actually more like torture to watch.

It's so graphic and vile. Torture porn and things that we didn't need to see. Like women getting sharp objects shoved up them while they screamed and cried.

If your really sadistic and enjoy this kind of thing then i guess watch it by all means. But otherwise give it a miss. I had to fast forward most of it so I could actually eat my food.

Horrible

Warning: Spoilers
I love survival movies but this was ridiculous. I got recommend this after watching frozen another survival thriller. But let me tell you, this is nothing like it and definitely not thrilling.

You can literally see the sky through the snow, they are not even in it that deep.

Wind down the window and dig yourself out, open the sunroof and climb out. Do literally anything other than sitting in the car moaning and arguing.

How was this based on a true story? Please don't tell me that this happened in real life. Ahhhhh.

Its insufferable. The woman is so annoying the man is spineless. They both have zero brain cells. The end.

Very entertaining but hard to believe
25 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I wasn't going to write a review but I had to mention something which hasn't been written in other reviews.

If Nola had kept a diary with all of the details of the affair surely she would have kept a record of the fact she was pregnant to Chris? Not just the fact he wouldn't leave his wife for her?

Therefore wouldn't this have been an indication that he had something to do with the murder and a much stronger motive than just an affair? The pregnancy was not even mentioned by the police.

I really liked this film and it was definitely entertaining but it did have a lot of plot holes and a lot of unbelievable moments which takes away from the film. Another is the fact that he used a shotgun and no one heard it.

Not great

Warning: Spoilers
Movies like this are really annoying because most of what happened could have been avoided if the main characters were not stupid.

Who would go to a huge trail like this and not take a map? Who would also not take a phone and purposely leave it in the car?

They have hardly no food, no supplies and no common sense.

The most annoying part in when they are in the tent and they can hear the bear coming towards them. She gets the bear spray ready as though she is going to use it and when the bear attacks the man she just sits there and doesn't even spray it.

She does absolutely nothing to help him and just watches him get eaten.

But then again she pretty much makes it clear throughout the movie that she does not care for this man at all so it's really no surprise.

Just before he mentions proposing she goes on a crazy rant about how he's a complete loser. Nice.

It's not completely terrible but defiantly not that good either.

First seasons were incredible but boring now
19 February 2023
The first two seasons were amazing. I could not take my eyes of the screen.

The music, the set, the characters were perfect.

However, it took a huge nosedive after season 3 and became really boring.

Brianna and Rodger are really annoying and Brianna especially is hard to watch sometimes.

It's really disappointing because it was such an amazing show. I did watch season 4 and still me of season 5 but it just became apparent that it was never going to get its magic back. So I've quit the show.

Not sure if it is the same story as the book but I did but the books and think I'm going to read those instead.

From amazing to boring and annoying
15 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This series started off so good That I was hooked straight away.

Yes it is a little dark and depressing for my taste but I endured it for the rest of the story.

First of all, what happened to Nick? He was a big part of the story and then he just disappeared. That was annoying because I kept waiting for him to make an appearance but he just didn't. Then finally when he did he was on screen for maybe 2 minutes.

It starts to drag on really bad. The story repeats it itself over and over, June becomes really unlikeable, characters change from bad to good, good to bad it's confusing.

By the end of the 3rd season you no longer care about any of the characters and you are so drained from watching close up shots of Junes face that you just want it to stop. A lot of potential ruined.

Boring as hell
14 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The description for this movie said thriller. So obviously I was expecting a lot more.

Literally nothing happens throughout the entire film.

I didn't even believe the story because to be honest he didn't even seem that bad. Yeh I get that emotional abuse is horrible but we barely even saw any of that either. Just little flashbacks and one where he swore at her. I think they could have portrayed a little more drama if they really wanted to make an impact.

The chemistry between the friends was off. They didn't even appear to really like each other. The story of her being traumatised just came out of nowhere. Did her friends not realise for some time she was being abused? Especially when it's at the point she is having a panic attack over some earrings. Surely this must have been going on for some time?

Overall, just a boring waste of time. No message came from it, it wasn't empowering or even emotionally impactful.

Annoying characters.
26 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This movie could have been really good. But it wasn't.

Why was it even made? I'm confused.

The main character was made to be weak and submissive. Yet she had the strength and power to survive on her own for years before the guy came along. It really annoyed me.

She was so (overly) nice to him, cooked for him, looked after him, did everything for him, practically saved his life. Ok, so why did he get aggressive with her and push her in the bedroom when she tried to help and he was drunk? I disliked him straight away after that. How ungrateful! I was hoping they did not get together. I would have told him to leave. Yet she continued to baby him and then even tried to sleep with him.

Then he turns her down but gets incredibly jealous when another guy comes along. Dude, what do you expect? The other guy played by Chris pine was really good, seemed like a nice guy. I was hoping they would get together. But no, she apologies to the original guy for sleeping with the new guy which she has every right to. Duh...

Then I think it is implied the first guy kills the second guy out of jealousy. Like why? Just accept it. You had plenty of chance. But ohh ok he "only realised when the other guy came along" apparently. Wow true love.

The girl obviously knows yet does nothing but play the piano and look upset. Then it ends.

It's boring, silly and the characters are so annoying. Don't bother.

Boring and predictable
26 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I really wanted to like this because I saw a lot of good reviews. I was kind of hoping for a lot more.

It was really cheesy in my opinion. The script written for the doll was just silly. I was confused whether it was a comedy, thriller, horror or what?

The doll is annoying. It started acting really off pretty early on yet no one thought anything was strange until it started ripping ears off children and wiping its own hardrive for the evidence?

Why was the doll angry? Why is there no explaination really, apart from that it wanted to protect the girl. It however had a psychopathic desire to murder while dancing (at one point) for no reason.

No sorry, it was just boring, silly and predictable.

Perfect
26 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
All time classic. Perfect mix of action and emotion.

The effects are still good even watching now in 2023. The beautiful soundtrack makes it even better and I never get bored of watching this movie.

There is nothing I can really fault about it and it's definitely one of my favourite movies.

Rose as a character is a little annoying at times and spoilt. She definitely made her own life a lot harder than it had to be at times.

Also to fall in love after a few days is a little unbelievable but other than that it is real very good if you overlook a few small things. Overall, still brilliant to this day.
