Neverland (2022)
Great set up
Great first production from the director. Great cast, music and the cinematography got better and better as the movie progressed.
The pacing was great, although the build-up in the first 30 minutes or so, the leading 3 lads needed more acting range to do uplifting and casual dialogue better. They smashed the end of it and were 10/10 in the tense and more violent scenes. It almost seemed they were foreshadowing the death of one of the characters, so I'm happy they didn't give into the usual trope, although the ending was quite sopranos-esque.
It's set up well for a part 2, and I'd recommend it to anyone who'd like to support diverse Australian talent.
Finally, I wish it came with subtitles to be recommended to non-Australians, as it is challenging to even look up colloquial terms without knowing what they said.
