I have no words really , what i just experienced ... This movie has to be the strangest ever made... Brilliant.

Stunning Visuals , amazing looking lead role (everyone of the actors where great really!), really good fantasy music... OK, the story felt a lot like Alice in wonderland meets the twilight zone and well i can't think of a single bad thing about that, i found it scary and i found it very fresh.

If there was one bad thing in this movie ... it must have been the picture quality , blurry and as usual...it made me and the rest of the gang a bit sleepy.

Zathura for me was a bit more than jumanji was for me 10 years ago.. 10 years ago i was 20 and jumanji felt abit more "overdone" than what zathura did now..

Zathura is in space yes but it feels less CGI and more (hehe) believable , nah really its still just like jumanji , lots of weird stuff happening along with some great comments.

I liked jumanji but i must say zathura is better!.

If you want to watch a movie where you want to understand everything then zathura ain't a movie for you at all as it is full of SCI-FI and has quite a few "black holes" in the story.

Saw this movie today and my first impression of the movie was the opening, felt like the cinema projector team had forgot to switch on the "center" sound (ie Speech) and that they forgot to "focus" the picture but ...i soon realized that it was the look of the whole movie and it felt abit like when i was watching "the Blair witch project" ...

Anyway this movie ain't exactly spectacular or anything but it has a few things that was OK to see again after 20 years of nothing in that era ...yes i mean the totally home look and feel ... cheap props and pretty bad effects and toss in a lot of breasts and nudity ..yep felt like watching an 80's horror movie...

The Actors felt like..totally new, at least they where to me and well it is obvious that they're not the typical Hollywood stereotypes though IMHO their performance added a certain realism to the whole movie..

There is some nice mistakes/bloopers :? in the movie as well ..like when you see the shadows (when the neighbor girl gets beaten up) in the mirror ... i went like, was that a shoulder or what? :-)

Finally ... the worst part with this movie was the sound, it felt hollow and well i am not sure if it was the cinema or if it was actually recorded this way ... it is the type of sound quality that will make you drowsy (sleepy).

I really liked this movie when i first saw it but then i had not seen the series so here goes: I watched the series (a few of them anyway) and i can see why so many here is saying the movie is bad and so on and has nothing to do with the KULTness of the series.. anyway i re-watched the movie after watching the series and well i see the point but i still found the movie very enjoyable.

The Best scene in the movie is the one in the roundabout , its been a long time since i laughed so hard and so long (even the second time i watched the movie) ... but yes the movie wont win any Oscars or whatever but then again the series wont either.

Very enjoyable movie and i am a big "Dukes" fan now , thanks to this movie (allready started scouting DVD shops for the series!).

Bill Murray in a role like you have never seen him before, Absolutely fantastic.

If you ain't a fan of B.M then you might want to skip the movie though as we where 10 people watching this one... it was only myself who really appreciated the movie due to they didn't get the "point" or Bill's comments which i found hilarious but the others just HM? ..

Must be said that the ending leaves loads to be desired... and well maybe too much for the non movie slaves.

The Opening of the movie is one of the things that i found very interesting , i mean .. putting a red pink envelope into a postbox and then follow it all the way around(just because all the other envelopes are white ;)).... just shows how standardized the world is these days :-)
