Ok, But some changes needed
17 April 2024
It is not bad. I will say that Rob is the factor keeping this show interesting.

As one reviewer said, the person facing the banker technically needs to eliminate high cases to be personally successful thus is ultimately working against the goal of driving up the grand total. This needs to be addressed.

A change that I think would make the show more interesting is this: If the person facing the banker loses they are eliminated. However, if the person facing the banker wins, they stay in the game, now have immunity, and the remaining contestants who aren't facing the banker have to do a Survivor type of vote to decide who goes home. The winner of that day's challenge would still have immunity thus would not be eligible to be voted off either.

This would drastically up the strategy and the alliance factors of the show which they are trying to make us feel like is important this season but they really are not.

Think about the game play back at camp before the evening's game with this change made. Just a suggestion.

Warning: Spoilers
Before I state my opinion of the movie, a correction needs to be written about another review left here.

Matt and Carly are in no way related.

Matt's mom (and Matt's sister Riley's mom) in the movie is Diane. She is not the related whatsoever to Carly.

Jenny is the daughter of the pastor and his wife. She was the childhood friend that Matt had a crush on but wound up as friends.

It is revealed that Carly is the niece of the pastor's wife therefore Jenny and Carly are cousins. But again there is no family relationship between Matt and Carly. Go back and rewatch it. You'll see what I mean.

Now about the movie.... Enjoyed it. I am still not crazy about the It's Christmas song that is a reoccurring theme in these movies but overall the acting was good. Riley has a great voice. Would have enjoyed hearing it more.

One thing though.... Please watch the base makeup. There really should not be such an obvious difference between the actors' facial tone and their necks.

This is one we will watch again.

Three's Company: Chrissy's Hospitality (1979)
Season 4, Episode 9
10/10
One of my favorites
29 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This episode always was a favorite of mine for many reasons.

Yes the show was known for misunderstandings. But this one just perfect.

Don Knotts was perfect. From the beginning in the apartment, to his character forgetting why he had come to apartment multiple times, and most importantly towards the end at the hospital when he knew Chrissy was fine but Jack and Janet did not.

"You can just take her home, prop her up on the couch and stare at her all day!"

Just classic.

All actors in this episode where just perfectly in sync and great. Janet and Jack were great... "I have something in my eye" and the interaction between Chrissy and the doctor is classic.

And to cap off this review, I have wonderful memories of my mom and me watching this during first run (and later repeats) just laughing together with this perfect cast of characters with great writing.

Highly recommended! Great episode.

Great American Family.... Love you guys! Honestly!

But what was this? The strange close-ups, the lighting, the sound quality.... This was very difficult and quite frankly impossible to get through.

We turned it off after 45 minutes. And the bacon/gravel voice was just so bad.

Sorry guys. This was a miss. Maybe we will give it another shot during the holiday season but this just came across as a low quality, almost high-school type production.

We hope this is not a sign of things to come. We are looking forward so much to Great American Christmas year 3 but they must be better than this.

This was just not an enjoyable movie.

The Art of Christmas (2022 TV Movie)
9/10
Enjoyed!
26 December 2022
The family and I enjoyed this movie. Ok yes, the predictability is there. That's kind of par for the course. Going into the holiday movies we know this. Since that is a given our ratings are not based upon that.

But we loved all the actors and enjoyed the story. We thought the leads were good and we really liked the supporting cast. It was an enjoyable story. We liked the school setting and the sub story involving the students.

This is one we will watch again. I am glad that we took the negative reviews with a grain of salt and decided to judge for ourselves. It was a nice movie for the family and enjoyed our time watching it.

A Christmas... Present (2022 TV Movie)
10/10
Thank-you.
28 November 2022
We just finished watching A Christmas... Present as a family. I cannot say enough praise for this movie.

Thank you Candace Cameron Bure and Great American Family. The movie was amazing with a message that we have not seen in a Christmas movie in a very long time.

All the actors were wonderful. The leads had true chemistry and the kids were enjoyable to watch. The story was different since it didn't involve the usual girl meets or re-meets boy but instead focused on the challenges that can arise even in the healthiest of marriages. And the fact that this was truly a faith-based Christmas movie is just so much appreciated.

I can only hope this is just the beginning for Great American Family. This movie will most certainly be an annual tradition during the holiday seasons to come.

Thank-you again to all involved.
