The Twilight Zone: 8 (2020)
Weak!
The story quality of the Season 2 episodes have been dramatically improved over Season 1 so far, which has given me hope for TZ. "8" is a step backwards, which is unfortunate given the high potential for the unique setting in the Arctic. However, the story had too many plot holes, inane character monologues, and a simplistic ending. Hope this is only a blip. Don't waste your time with this episode.
The Twilight Zone: The Who of You (2020)
There's hope
First decent episode of the entire series. I was ready to give up for good, but now I'll watch a couple more episodes to see if they get any better. Season 1 was terrible. Production values of the series are great, obviously getting a lot of money thrown at it, but the storylines have been weak and the acting average. I'm a fan of Peele's comedy, but his Rod Serling impression is silly.
The Twilight Zone: Downtime (2020)
Decent, could have done more
So far, Season 2 has been superior to Season 1 due to the largely absent heavy handed social justice messaging. Ep 1 was a bad take-off of the movie HER with some bad acting, but Ep 2 had a strong start. The basic premise is not original (ala Vanilla Sky, Total Recall) and I felt they could have done more with it, but I guess with only about 30 minutes of run-time, there is only so much you can do. I won't reveal spoilers, but the scene on the roof had a big continuity error with her mindset IMO, which kind of spoiled this episode a bit for me. Nevertheless, the most enjoyable episode of the entire series for me so far because it was closer to sci-fi than SJW. I keep giving TZ a chance because I loved the original so much, so I hope this season gets better.
