Big (1988)
BIG Impact
I had this movie on video and I don't know what happened to it but I watched it so many times I could probably tell you everything in verbatim...just kidding, but I can come pretty close. This is my second-favorite movie besides "Titanic" and every time I was bored,I popped it in the VCR and watched it,and no matter how many times I saw it I never got bored.I really love this movie and people from all ages can see it,although there are some parts where the younger audience would rather not see but that's all up to who's watching the movie.Tom Hanks is my favorite actor--no questions asked, and he did a great job portraying a child in an adult's body in this movie.I have seen many of Tom Hanks' movies but this one is my favorite. The movie is great, period. It has emotional parts, funny parts, and intense parts, but it wouldn't be a movie if it didn't have those qualities.I highly recommend this movie.
Titanic (1997)
All-time Favorite!
This movie is my all-time favorite. This was the first movie I ever went to a movie theater to see.I couldn't wait until it came out on video,I HAD to see it.James Cameron did an excellent job directing this movie, and the time it took to finish it was worth the while.Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet did an astonishing job as young lovers.Their parts show that when you love somebody,it doesn't matter if you're rich, poor, fat, skinny, young, old. When you love somebody, love is all that matters.I cried more than anything else when I saw this movie, because it's sad, especially knowing that it really happened-the "unsinkable" sank and so many innocent people were killed. It's a sad truth, and Titanic helps us relive it.A love story 'til the tragic end,Titanic is a must-see!
What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993)
Heartwarming movie
One of my favorite movies, and surely a favorite of many others, this movie has touched many lives.Leonardo DiCaprio did an excellent job as the mentally ill teenager,Arnie and Johnny Depp also played an excellent role as Gilbert Grape."What's Eating Gilbert Grape" has made me look at life from a different perspective because I've learned that not everybody sees it the same way,and not everybody lives the same way I do,and not everybody is normal.I shed tears watching this movie-that is how touching it is.I very much recommend it.
A Cry for Help: The Tracey Thurman Story (1989)
Unbelievable.
I saw the movie today and I thought it was a great movie--incredible.Nancy McKeon did a great job acting out the part.It is so realistic that I almost forgot it was a movie! This is an inspiring movie for women and men both.I recommend it to everybody.
