Waiting for the Storm (2017)
no
My own fault, I knew what I was getting into but at the beginning in the car caught my interest and I gave it a chance. As soon as heard an actor say "just like old times" I knew it was going to disappoint. I continued as far as I could. I honestly tried to keep watching it even after I heard the other "actors" speak in the house. It was like they had no acting experience at all,not a single one of the six. The background music was terrible and the movie seemed to be filmed by a high school student trying to get an art credit. Incredible as it progressed it got worse. The movie would be suitable for a Drive In theater for laughs or ignoring if you are a new couple. Final verdict was I shut it off at 14 minutes and 12 seconds,I didn't want to know what happens next .
Good Time Max (2007)

Nothing to see here folks. So I sat through the forst 40 minutes waiting for the movie to show me why James Franco is so well liked and as it turns out there are no characters whatsoever to like or relate to. I guess this was an attempt at comedy but at the 40 minute mark ,I still hadn't found a laugh. Was there a bit of Fear And Loathing in there? Perhaps, but it to be honest this is one boring movie. I don't know how the Director pegged the audience but I couldn't identify with anything and I lived through the drug culture. I can't saythe characters were miscast because the entire thing should have never been brought to the table. What's there to like?
Five Pounds (2010)
Rubbish
This movie is terrible from the start. I don't know what to compare it too. It's filmed like a 70's porn movie and at anytime I expected it to morph into one and start playing disco. I don't know what the budget was but they certainly won't make back the investment. I think it could have been filmed on an old VHS Sony Handy cam. At first i thought the characters were miscast but as I suffered about 35 minutes of it,I realized these were untrained actors doing their best and knew it was trash and there was no saving it. If you can watch the entire thing then you truly are a masochist. The lead role of "Alex" lowered the bar for the other actors. I went a full 40 minutes and shut it off.
Phantom Punch (2008)
Ouch, that hurt more than Liston's jab.
Ving and Nicholas must have been hard up for a pay day. They couldn't save it because there was nothing to save and no doubt they both want this one kept quiet.. The fight scenes are some of the worst I've seen in a movie, let alone a boxing movie. Too much left out and all of a sudden he's fighting Ali,who does not even look remotely like the greatest. Mainstream movie which should stay on the shelf. It's a shame because the Sonny Liston story is worth making a movie about. Perhaps one day a real boxing fan will direct it with a decent budget. There are documentaries on Liston that are much more entertaining. I think the entire production lost track and they finally decided to quickly end it,either that or the money ran out. Save yourself the beating and the hour and a half you won't get back.
