Armed and Dangerous (1986)
Watchable, but not that funny.
I'm a fan of the old SCTV show from the late 70's and early 80's and John Candy was a major reason why. He was given very funny off the wall characters and was simply hilarious. Unfortunately he could not get these roles to play in the movies. Time after time I was disappointed by the mediocre movies in which he was almost playing the "straight" role instead of the funny guy. "Armed and Dangerous" rarely tries to use John's comedic abilities, or that of Harold Ramis, for that matter. It is simply a very predictable cops and robbers type of movie. If you are a John Candy or Harold Ramis fan the movie is watchable, just don't expect to laugh much.
Per un pugno di dollari (1964)
A rough but entertaining start for the man with no name
Despite the bad voice dubbing and weak acting this is still an entertaining film for Eastwood or western fans. It is enjoyable to watch the three movies in order: Fistfull of dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. You'll see how each film becomes more refined and makes improvements on the previous efforts.
Spider-Man (2000)
Decent Action Game
I bought the PC version for my 12 year old son for $15. Graphics are not bad, just a little dated by today's standards. My son really enjoys the game and it does seem geared toward the 10-15 age group. Worthwhile investment for the bargain price.
Raise the Titanic (1980)
Very Disappointing
I highly anticipated this movie, having enjoyed the book. Was very disappointed, as the movie either left out most of the exciting parts of the book or completely changed them. If you have an interest in the Titanic or in spy/action novels I highly recommend the book, but not the movie. Might be watchable if you haven't read the novel.
