Long and boring
3 November 2007
Not only was this film long-drawn and boring, but it was also unrealistic and very difficult to find out what was up and down. Who did Edward Wilson refer to, and who did he receive his orders from? Did he have all this responsibility just working from home, making all these decisions himself? A man that was an expert in poems, and never joined the army?

Matt Dillon (Edward Wilson) was a right wooden face from beginning to end. I used to think he was a good actor, but after watching this? No. If the film was cut down to 1½ hour and Matt Dillon was more expressional, then perhaps it would have been worth watching.

Babel (I) (2006)
Depressing and predicable
9 July 2007
I won't even bother to go into details, but rarely have I seen such a bad movie. The beginning was promising, a venturing story with an American tourist who got shot. Was it an accident or a terrorist attack? - Then a sweet Mexican baby-sitter who was not aloud to attend her sons wedding.

Then it started down hill. A little Muslim boy playing with himself. The Muslim family is not very pleasant, the Mexican wedding will of course go wrong, you can soon hear that on the music. Very predictable. The married American couple can of course not get an ambulance, she wets her trousers but at least they stop arguing and start kissing! Then we move to Japan and the only connection to this crazy content had to be the weapon, what else. Very predictable. Here we follow a lunatic teenage daughter in a dull and boring story.

I think this movie tries to copy the huge success of the clever and terrific film "Crash", but here we have such a bad script, so predictable and totally depressing, - plus the connection of the 4 stories is so plain. Brad Pritt is too good an actor to be in a crap movie like this.

Do or Die (2001)
Where can I buy this one?
4 July 2002
Unfortunately I missed the first 5 min. of this series, but after watching for just 2 min. I was completely hooked. Full of excitement and very well played by the actors, specially Tom Long. This story-line is great and not predictable. Somehow I found Joey (Tom Long) very charming and a real he-man, although he was a "bad guy", -and I was a bit ashamed of my admiration for this character.

This proves once again that the Australians are the best in the world at making TV mini series. I remember another great one called "Vietnam".

I gave this one 10 stars out of 10, for this series has everything I am looking for, thrills, excitement and romance. Can anybody tell me WHY I CANNOT BUY THIS ONE ON DVD OR VIDEO???? Please?

Vietnam (1987)
Great mini series.

This was a great mini series. The actors played extremely well, you get to know all of them and to like them. I was sad when it ended. I do not think I ever will forget this mini series, it really made an impression on me. Such a shame that it cannot be bought on DVD or video anywhere.

Perfect thriller mixed with romance.

The film was pretty slow at the beginning. I had never watched Michael Madsen perform before. I thought he had a sour face! But did I change my mind? This film really grows on you. And I ended up loving it. Slater and Madsen played so well together. She was the weak feminine actress who against her will fell for this unknown man. And he was this strong willed he-man! This is a film of my liking: a thiller mixed with romance, that´s the best. I sure hope it comes out on DVD, so I can buy it.

Brilliant.

I had always claimed, that Don Johnson was not for me. He was not even a good actor. So I was persuaded to watch this film, and I was so facinated. I could not get it out of my head after I saw it. It was brilliant, and Don Johnson played really well. The story was also good. I even wrote to our local TV station, to get them to show it again, but in vain. Please let it come out on DVD so I can buy it.

Open Season (1974)
I would love to see it again.

This film was different, but very good. The beginning was interesting, and Peter Fonda played really well, he made this film worth watching. Although he was a "bad guy", he had a certain hidden charm. I wish this film would come out on DVD, so I could buy it.
