Hidden Gem you will absolutely love!
14 September 2022
From the first frame of the film you know that this will be a good movie. Don't get fooled by the title, this is not a movie about religion or church, it's about people that run religion, people that take advantage on religion and people that want to become part of religion. It's sprinkled with sex, alcohol and other deeds that a young man who aspire to become an orthodox priest should stay away from, but let's not spoil it too much.

There are a lot of great characters played by young skillful actors, but on top of them all sits the Vlad Ivanov who delivers a great performance and manages to take this movie to another level and proves again that he is one of the best romanian actors.

I recommend this movie especially to non-romanian people. It's a good peep hole to romanian church, corruption and culture, even more because it's inspired by a true story.

House of the Dragon (2022– )
Where are the characters?
29 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Imagine Game of Thrones without Tyrion, Jamie, Cersei, Joffrey, Daenerys, Arya, Sandor and many more. Kind of dull right? Well this is The House of the Dragon.

Apart from Daemon which is mildly interesting, there is not one character that I care for. They are all insipid, too serious, depressing. I was hoping that in the second episode we would be shown some of the other houses and their members, but no. We are stuck with this soap opera family we don't care about.

This show does not deserve the same intro theme as Game of Thrones. It's just bad spinoff.

I would have go over the fact that the characters are dull if at least the story was good. But it's about a guy thinking if he should marry or not.

Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
Season 8, Episode 6
The longer I think about it, the worse it gets...
21 May 2019
We have witnessed one of the greatest TV shows ever made getting destroyed over the course of one last season. This masterpiece turned into a sub-mediocre Hollywood movie we saw 100 times before.

I keep getting glimpses of the last episode that I've watched last night and every time I do, I find another thing that bothered me so much about it. They did not care about the work that has been put for building these characters. They did not care about the audience that fell in love with this show because it was different.

I feel they destroyed something I, you, and everyone else believed in. Something that shocked us, made us laugh, made us care and even cry sometimes.

They destroyed the Game of Thrones...

Unusual Anthology Film
15 October 2013
I didn't know many things about this movie when I decided to watch it. I thought it's just another usual crime/action movie, but it's not. It's an unusual anthology movie, that will surprise you here and there, and keeps you guessing. It has some clichés, but not too many. The acting is very good, Ryan Gosling proves once again that he can act, and Ray Liotta, though having only a minor role, he doesn't fail to deliver. Bradley Cooper's was not so great though, just average, but overall, the movie is very believable. One thing I didn't like though. I felt that the movie was made in a hurry. This is the kind of movie that needs to be at least 3 hours long, with more character development, but I will let that slide.

If you enjoy Anthology Movies as much as I do, then I recommend this one.

Tension combined with great acting results in a Masterpiece!
16 April 2013
I watched this movie for the first time in 2013, and I can honestly tell you that is better than many big budget thrillers made these days. It had everything, drama, tension and some action. All these combined with some great performances of Ray Milland and Grace Kely. This was the first movie I ever watched starring Ray Milland, and I can tell you that after watching this movie I declared myself a Ray Milland fan. He is so natural and such a believable actor. The script is very well written. It's so intriguing and catching, that you won't even notice the whole movie is happening in one room. Dial M for Murder is one of Hitchcock's best movies in my opinion. Movies like this, never get old. They might get better though, so if you haven't seen this movie yet, I envy you, and you should see it right away.

Almost a Masterpiece!
7 April 2013
This is a typical Tarantino movie. The dialogue is very well written and very entertaining. The characters are brilliant. We have some strong performances of Leonardo DiCaprio and Christoph Waltz which deserved his second Oscar. If you are familiar with Tarantino's work, you probably know that there will also be a lot of shootouts. Shootouts very well done by the way, very bloody and gory, but in my opinion this is the weakest part of the movie. The movie was good enough with the characters, dialogue and the landscapes, it didn't need so many guns and explosions, but we have to accept them since this was a tribute brought by Tarantino to the classics "Spaghetti Westerns". Overall, this was a good movie. If you like Tarantino's work, then this is a must-see for you.
