The Prince (2021)
Liberals hate it.
Thats more than enough to tell you if its for you or not. Now......witness the power of the backlash I'm about to get.
The Head Hunter (2018)
Did you like The Witch? Good. Watch this with confidence.
You'll notice, a a commonality shared in all the negative reviews on this site. They have amateurish words like fart in the reviews. They are also irritated that there's no Marvel style action sequences. These are written by children and fans of modern day Hollywood released horror films like Annabelle who need instant gratification and the crust cut of their PBnJ.
If you like those kind of movies, and God knows there's an audience for it, you may find yourself not into this film. But if you are a fan of films such as The Witch and ready for something atmospheric in the medieval genre, and a little horror to go with your unnerving film viewing experience, this ones for you.
Family Guy: The Movement (2020)
Lazy and waaaay too late to the party
Are you hankering for some kneelin? Haven't had enough of the Kaeapernick fiasco these last several years? Well have some more with this episode of Family Guy thats as a "phresh" as an episode of The Weakest Link, right before a Paulie Shore staring vehicle with commercials in between for Jolt Cola.
Lucky Number Slevin (2006)
Quite possibly one of the most complete and finest movies ever made...
.. and I mean that. I remember watching the previews for this movie and expecting some sort of crime caper in the spirit of the movie, "Confidence". How wrong I was. This is a movie for those who loved flicks like, "The Usual Suspects". Yea. It's beyond THAT good.
The film centers around two mob bosses (Morgan Freeman as 'the Boss') and Ben Kingsley as 'the Rabbi), a world class hit-man (Willis), a New York City Cop (Tucci), a cute/talkative neighbor (Lucy Lui), and an unlucky loser named Slevin (Hartnett in his best performance to date).
I am not going to go into it anymore than this. I could go on and on about reason's why, but to be flat honest I would be doing you a disservice. I will never understand Hollywood and why films of this standard are NEVER properly recognized. Like I stated in the opening, I think it was marketed ALL wrong. Kinda of like True Romance when it first came out, it just didn't find it's audience in theaters because like always the wrong people are telling us what we want to watch.
This is easily one of the best movie going experiences I have ever had. It's one of those that you watch as soon as its over. I swear goes right back to the start and you watch it again. It's REALLY this good.
Director Paul McGuigan and writer Jason Smilovic have a VERY bright future ahead of them. Thank you for this movie guys. Thanks a lot.
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008)
Please do not let this go off the air until it's run it's course!!
I like this show. I like this show a lot so far. If it had a bigger budget, it be even better, but this crew has done well with what you guy have been given.
I was not all that hyped about the chick from Serinity playing the heroic Terminator, but you know what SHE also works very well. I like her and she I believe that she is Cameron and she is a great actress. I am glad to see that she is making it on her own.
The kid playing the new John Connor is stellar choice as well. He's even better than Furlong was.
The actress playing Sarah was taking a on a pretty big role as I am sure she is well aware off. But you know what sweetheart?? You pulled it off too.
All three make this show enjoyable as heck and you never do the whole "well, it's gonna be gay with out James Cameron and the original actors (not to mention Arnie), but this show is pretty damn alright. I am excited to see how this unfolds. Keep on rocking guys.
Elizabethtown (2005)
Kirsten Dunst is just too annoying in this movie...
This story has a really good idea and different take on the same kind of idea you've heard before: son who barely knew father comes to grips with his "daddy issues" after daddy's untimely demise. I like Orlando Bloom a lot. This dude has a lot of potential as an actor. Cameron Crowe is an awesome director and overall story teller. I like the spin he put on this beat to death storyline.
But Kirsten Dunst is just outright. She always tries too hard, and that teeth grating way she talks when she speaks just above a whisper makes me wanna throw a midget out of a window. Kirsten, it's time to stop. Thanks for your role in Interview with the Vampire, we all thought you were kinda dark as a child vampire, but it's time to do something else in life with the rest of the child actors. No, stop smiling, this is not a joke. Please go. Shooo!
Dead Silence (2007)
Pretty Horrible Effort
This movie is bad. No, I take that back. This movie is just plain awful. When "Dangerous" Donnie Walberg is the most notable actor in the film, that should have been the first red flag. The dude they have as the lead is just about as bad as they come. For real. I have seen more emotion from the face of a dead chicken than this guy musters up. The guys wife dies in this horrible way at the beginning and he has a look of a three year old who had his Tonka Truck taken away.
What gave me hope was the guys that did the first Saw flick where in charge of making this. They failed. Dude, this second collaboration was as bad as Bush's second Album. It just swallowed. Do something else with your time. Do some sit-ups. Go vote. Sharpen a pencil. Club a baby seal. You get the idea.
