Land Shark (2017)
1/10
...No, just... NO!
12 November 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Acting: What acting??? Plot: A greedy company experiments on sharks, who then mutate and gain to ability to kill people on land.

Special Effects: cheap DIY homemade Halloween costume "quality" This makes Sharknado look like an Oscar contender, because, at least, Sharknado was kinda fun to watch.

So my advise: If you want to be entertained, stay away! If you want to watch a really really bad shark movie, this is one! ... Why did I watch this and others like it? Because I still hope to find another fun-to-watch shark related B-movie.

1 - 2 - Dance!!!
2 March 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Funny not only for One Piece Fans. Watch Jango "Michael" Jackson dance, get hunted by Marines and hypnotizing the whole island into disco-dancers, including the Straw Hats, the Marines and himself! Brilliant. The only thing I have to criticize is that it's way too short and we don't see all the Staw Hats dance. I really really would have liked to see Zoro, Sanji and co. dance a full scene.

Graphic is typical One Piece style, so you all know what to expect from it.

Yep, a full 20+ minutes episode would have gotten this full 10 stars from me. But since it's not, it's only 8 points (There's no 7.5 so I added 0.5 stars simply because I like it very very much.^^).

Flash Gordon (2007–2008)
2/10
Something that should never have been done...
2 March 2009
How could they do something like this? I watched the pilot and was shocked. There's next to nothing that reminds someone of Flash Gordon besides the name. OK, they tried to take a different approach and make something original out of it. Unfortunately That doesn't work with something like Flash Gordon. It's like making a Spiderman series and making Peter Parker blonde 2 meter football jock. What they did is ... horrible. Everything about this series is way below average, the actors, the story, the outfits and even the special effects, which remind me of power rangers special effects instead of something the Sci-Fi channel should come up with. To me this series is one point above awful and only because I know of at least one or two series that are even worse than this (won't tell though).

The Wild Wild West (1965–1969)

The Wild Wild Best of the West!
29 January 2008
This is probably one of the best TV-Shows of all times. The actors are brilliant, the stories range from petty crime to world domination schemes and every episode you ask yourself: "What have they come up with this time?" No matter how trivial the plot seems to be, even a simple murder-chase turns into a story filled with hidden deathtraps and very unique methods of killing people. This show has something for everyone and I never ever met a person who didn't like the show... after he/she decided to watch it despite it being from the 60s and not featuring CGI-monsters or tons of blood or sex.

They don't make things like this anymore, which is a shame. Not that todays shows are boring but... they can hardly be called unique anymore. I think there's no show out there that can be compared to The Wild Wild West, simply because it has spread its plot-wings so wide. And they actually pulled off the impossible - uniting several genres like western, action, crime, sci-fi, comedy, mystery and supernatural. Never again did it get this wild in the west and it probably never will.

The chemistry between the actors was a major factor in the success as were the various villains. I think Michael Dunn and Victor Buono were mentioned by nearly everyone who reviewed and they are right. While you root for Jim and Artie, you cannot help and at least slightly cheer for the eccentric Count Manzappi and especially the genius Dr. Miguelito Loveless too. While you do not want to meet them in a dark alley, you still kinda like them.

The movie with Will Smith was terrible. Every character was so... un-WildWildWest-ish. A great disappointment for those who actually knew the series beforehand.

To all out there who still haven't seen this: You missed out great TV history. get the DVDs and watch it!

Good idea but terrible realization. A waste of potential...
17 September 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I must say, that this movie is a total waste of time, money and actors. It's boring and the raised forefinger the director/producer like to show the viewers (about the war and cloning thing) is annoying. I like the actors (Aldo Ray and Robert Vaughn) but they are really wasted here.

It could have been a good movie, if... and there are many big IFs here: 1. ...if they had concentrated on the spy/cloning theme. 2. ...if they had not tried to come up with the teaching and forefinger tactics. 3. ...if they had not included the poor lonely human *read the sarcasm here* on the island and had not interrupted the "flow" of the movie with occasional and random scenes of the lone islander and how he watches the recorded data. IT SUCKS!

They could have at least cut the first 20 minutes of enormously boring monologue. I first thought I was watching the wrong movie. The only reason this did not get an even lower rating is the fact, that the Nazi-cloning idea itself is quite interesting.

Otherwise: Forget it.
