The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries: The Mystery of the Silent Scream (1977)
Pretty good episode!
Thrilling episode! One of the better ones. All the actors in this episode pull in great performances including antagonists played by Trini Lopez and Larry Storch.
The Chance of a Lifetime (1943)
Pretty good Boston Blackie!
Boston Blackie film that has the humor of all the others. Favorite scene in which Boston Blackie and Runt are trying to escape by a dumbwaiter and they are pulled from one direction to the other. Also this movie has an interesting crossdressing scene in which Boston Blackie and Runt dress up in old women's clothing. Overall one of the better Boston Blackie films.
The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries: The Strange Fate of Flight 608 (1977)
Pretty good episode!
Reminsicent of one of the Airport disaster films from the 1970's, this is a thrilling episode which makes one wonder how the episode will end. Only thing is a lot of the elements of the later Airport films are brought into this episode including the corny music and bad acting. Thayer David is one of the best of the actors though, bringing in a threatening performance as the main antagonist. Great episode!
The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries: The Creatures Who Came on Sunday (1977)
So-So Hardy Boys Episode
Interesting and thrilling episode with a more supernatural nature involving aliens coming from outer space. Outside of Parker Stevenson and Shaun Cassidy most of the cast are bad actors, especially Bonnie Ebsen. The Hardy Boys seem fairly dimwitted in this episode. When they encounter the "alien" it is obvious that it is a helicopter but the boys think otherwise. I think the story was interesting but the teleplay could have been written better.
