This might just be one of the most deranged movies i have ever seen.
Especially the subway scene, because, wow, that was something, that was alot. The screaming was just so raw and.. i just liked it. And the fact that, that scene caused the actress to have a mental breakdown later on, while it's sad it just adds to the realness of the performance.
Apparently, treating Adjani horrible on set was Zulawskis way of making her performance more believeable, that reminds me alot of Kubrick when he was working on set of The Shining with Shelley Duvall. Maybe they haven't been very fond of eachother, but they sure do have similar methods.
I feel so weird after watching this, traumatized.. maybe.. a little? It's like, i can't stop thinking about this movie. You really can see how Zulawski poured all of his emotions after his own divorce into this movie.
