413 Hope St. (1997)
Gone too soon
This show was one of the rare hour-long television dramas that I could really sink my teeth into, and it barely survived a full season. A few years later, and it's like no one even remembers it. I've heard critics scold it for being over-dramatic, but I have never been so riveted by a storyline and performances on network TV.
From Richard Roundtree and his wife confronting the young man who killed their son, to the young man who was dying from AIDS. Jesse Martin and his dealings with AIDS. The show was full of tragedy, and you definitely didn't watch it to cheer you up, but the issues were so relevant. I think it was an injustice to pull it from the air so quickly.

What Can I Say?
It was my first time in Los Angeles and I had the absolute privilege to experience this powerful short film, at a screening & discussion.
Sechaba doesn't realize the gift that he truly has. The movie grips you from the very beginning and doesn't let you go even after the credits have finished rolling.
The acting is moving. The story is impeccable! I hope Sechaba continues to bring his stories to the screen. The world will benefit.

KAYED A BROTHA, DI?
I have heard a lot of negative reviews in regard to this movie, and though I have to agree it was a poorly MADE film, I on the other hand have to say it was one of the FUNNIEST films I saw last year!!! I had to go out and buy it on DVD. The absurdity of a character who has a limited vocabulary of gibberish can become an icon cracks me the hell up!!! And it's not so much what he thinks of himself, but what those around him think of him.
Just watching Lance Crouther keep a straight face has me rolling in the floor with laughter.
I could never make the world see this movie thru my eyes, but I just want the makers of this film to know that they have at least 4 fans that I know of. My co-workers and I can't stop talking about the movie.
