Heart warming and great fun

Freud, as she is called, lives a semi-sheltered life in her Jewish family with a mother that suffocates her environment with her "care" and a father that is an endless stream of old Jewish jokes.

She must break up. She must get away. And when she finds the man of her dreams... well I will not spoil it.

True it is not a rapid action comedy but if you don't mind Jewish humor with Swedish flavour and if you don't mind the tongue in the cheek it is well worth watching.

It quickly became one of my very favorites. And apart from a most wonderful script, the main reason is foremost the acting of Gunilla Röör and the supporting cast by Philip and Jessica Zandén.

I love this movie.

A light hearted comedy abut the ordeals of a Comic Writer.

This is plain cult. Hardly showed in TV or at cinema, it has been seen by very, very few.

For any non-Swede the cast must be a jumble of unknown personalities. For any Swede it is the brightest mixture of good old comedy from the 50;s.

Lots of songs and dancing... Lots of horrible jokes... and just the slightest touch of satire with it's edge against the silent majority in the 50;s, those who wanted to prevent anyone from reading comics. But also a satire edged against the past popular music with all it's low quality lyrics. Listen for the beautiful song "Sätt Tulpaner i mossa till mor" or in English "Put some tulips in moss for you mom".

Just as horrible as it sounds.

See it... you never will forget it.
