Love Actually (2003)
10/10
Everybody should watch it.
4 April 2004
It is simply the best movie I have seen in a long time. The movie has such powerful star cast and it is so contemporary. I often wondered if Curtis can come up with a romantic movie that would make me forget You've got mail, which has been the movie of my life as far as romantic movies go. Notting Hill came close. this is surely the one. I take a pledge that I will from now on I will see every movie that Curtis makes. Saw Rickman and Neeson after a long time. I had already forgotten how good these actors were. The last movie of Neeson that I saw was Nell (Yes I missed many good movies in between) and he still makes me say that he is perhaps the most natural actor since Spencer Tracy. Marvellous Movie. Everbody Should watch it.

Bullseye! Almost.....
7 March 2004
The ending is a bit corny in my opinion. The movie builds up very nicely and the suspense (Yeah!) is quite good. However, I thought that Ewan was trying a bit too hard. It seemed to me that the ending was not up to the mark. I would have preferred a slight time gap of say one year in which both had moved on in their professional lives and they meet again when their friend get married. Sparks fly, but with a pinch of salt and a happy ending. That would have been better. And it would not have hurt to have the wolf slightly older, like Brosnan. Sorry to be running down Ewan but he just seemed out of place. But I guess that is what the producers wanted. A good movie to watch.

WEAK SCRIPT!

The movie has some terrific performances and a nice buildup. However, once you reach the wilderness..... it goes wild! The way they have made the last 15 minutes of the movie makes me feel that the story writer lost interest in the movie altogether. Stallone is top notch though he does look a bit tired in the first half of the movie.

Star Trek: Voyager (1995–2001)
I liked it!

I do not know why this series is run down. I found the series a very fitting one. Wasn't it the motto of the original ST series "To boldly..." and to that effect they were in unchartered country. They had a tough time but it was a very nice crew. I loved the characters of Captain and Commander. The inter-personal relations on board the ship also made quite an engrossing view. This gets all the votes it can from me. 12/10.

Easily one of the best films ever made!

The movie is a silent-era classic. Even with the sound muted, the movie works and then with the sound on it just rocks! Funny Nursery Rhymes, nice animals and a good blend of near death experiences for the crooks makes the movie funny. It is a cartoon movie made with people. I would like to see more of such movies being made. Honestly!

I miss Donahue
6 May 2002
India saw very little of Phil but thanx to "Star Plus" (Now Star World) the cable channel I was able to see a few episodes of "Donahue". I may be called idiotic but it was Oprah whose program replaced Donahue on my channel in India and I have never forgiven Oprah for that since. I sorely miss Donahue. Wasn't his show giving enough profits to continue for a few more seasons?
