Mayday: Terror Over The Pacific (2024)
Done before
Thankfully, there are not as many airline accidents as they used to be, but I'm sure there must still be dozens they could do. Certainly the recent Boeing incidents could be portrayed. I'm curious why they decided to redo an accident they had previously portrayed. And as a previous reviewer said, it is really a slap in the face to the family whose son was killed in this incident is completely ignored. I also wonder if there are legal issues that they could face if they did choose to portray some airline accidents. I remember one that happened when a 747 crashed at Narita airport during the early 80s. I haven't seen that one, though it is true. I have not seen every single episode they have made.
Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent (2024)
Disappointed
I was looking forward to this so much! I have seen Law and Order UK version and thought that this might reflect a little more of the Canadian police and judicial systems. Where was the order part? Usually the first half of the show is the police investigations and the second half is the courtroom procedures. There was none of that. Nothing at all, showing the courtroom part of the procedures. This particular first episode also seemed to show so many ... what do I want to say, conveniences, that allowed the leading male character to come up with some brilliant conclusions.
Bring back Street Legal.
Children Ruin Everything (2022)
Canadian
I wasn't actually sure if this was a Canadian or American show. In the opening seconds, she put her foot in a toy truck. I thought, 'Canadian.'
Then later at the restaurant, a character says, "I'll get the cheque." Or should I say, "check." A VERY American term. Canadians ask for the bill. A check/cheque is what you write to give someone money. A bill is what you get that tells you how much money you owe.
I did enjoy the first couple episodes that I have watched so far. It has some decent lines etc. And I like that it is not yet again a standard WASP couple. It actually is reminding me (in production levels/content) of Abbot Elementary.
The Man in the High Castle (2015)
Season 4
Geez...did they lose their lighting budget on these episodes? I turned up the brightness as high as it would go. Yes the outdoor scenes were at least brighter but almost anything that was shot inside wasn't just in shadow, but incredibly low light.
Superman & Lois (2021)
Love it!
The only thing I felt was wrong was when the two sons found out their father is Superman and the one son storms off all upset about blahblahblah.
Sorry...but if any teen suddenly found out his father is Superman (or any other superhero) the reaction would not be what we saw in this show.
IMHO
Ratched (2020)
Episode 1
If that was supposed to be a catholic church, the priest would not have been using English. Not in 1947.
