The Anna Nicole Show (2002–2004)
MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING - BORING
30 November 2002
Like many people, I was originally sucked in by the tremendous "hype" before the series aired. I watch every show during the season, and now I ask myself, WHY? Anna Nicole Smith is one of the most beautiful women in the world, but if this show really reflects her day to day life, I think she is in big trouble. First, I think Children's Protective Services should investigate the manner in which her teen age child lives, seemingly without any adult supervision. At the beginning of each show, Anna, in a very clear and focused way, introduces the episode with a few words about it's content. For the remainder of the show, she acts as though she is under the influence of some mind altering drug, with her speech often slurred, and her inability to fully comprehend what is going on around her. Her two companions, (her lawyer, and her personal assistant) seem to function more as her "handlers" or "babysitters". They put up with her childish antics, yet there seems to be some type of romantic or sexual tension between them. Each show involves a series of daily events (looking for a house, looking for a personal chef, purchasing furniture, shopping for trashy lingerie, taking the driving test, going on a date. Anna often comes across as a shallow, mindless bimbo. The show does not really put her in a good light, but it's all for fun, and I guess that if you don't take it too seriously, there is some entertainment value to it. I guess a lot of people are interested in how the "other side" lives. I still think the world of Anna Nicole, but this show is not her best vehicle. Sorry Anna !

OUTSTANDING SUSPENSE THRILLER
26 November 2002
This film was an excellent suspense thriller. It focused on "what if" and on "moral judgement" The action sequences abort the aircraft carrier were very well filmed. WHAT IF there was a modern U.S. aircraft carrier in the Pacific ocean on the day before the attack on Pearl Harbor. Should the crew of the ship fight the battle, knowing that their accidental presence, through mysterious circumstances, alter history? Should modern day knowledge and firepower by used to change the outcome of what they knew was a horrific event in history? This film addresses these issues, and does so in a spectacular manner. This was definately a top notch film, with a twist.

Everglades! (1961–1962)
A blast from the past
25 November 2002
At a time when many of the older television series are returning for a new generation to view, This one should be included. "Everglades" was a straight forward crime drama show, set in the everglades of Florida. Constable Lincoln Vail was the man charged with protecting life in the everglades. Constable Vail patrolled his beat in an airboat, which was often the star of the show. Other television shows (Flipper, Gentle Ben) later came along with similar action themes, but "Everglades" was the original, and in my opinion, the best. It featured the best theme song on television at the time, and to this day, I find myself occasionally humming or singing the song.

Airwolf (1987)
A Waste of Time
25 November 2002
For many reasons, I found the original "Airwolf" series to be one of the best shows on television. The actions sequences were truly fantastic. Each character developed throught the run of the series.

Season four was a true waste of time. The characters were very weak and shallow, the overall tone of the show diminished. Originally, Only three characters were skilled enough to fly Airwolf. In the new series, it seemed that everyone on the show could fly airwolf, with equal skill.

On the original show, the characters, while flying Airwolf, always wore their helmets. The new version often featured bare-headed, wearing headsets, with no helmets.

The fourth season of Airwolf demonstrated the classic situation of a series being around one year too long. A good effort, but a very poor result.
