Luchshe, chem lyudi (2018)
Good show but...
Good show. Storyline and special effects are well done so far. I'm only on episode 3. Episode It's a continuation or alternate timeline of Humans right? The blackheads, zits, and easily covered blemishes are very distracting. If I was a future corporate executive, I wouldn't have a giant blackhead on the right side of my nose!
Away (2020)
Did I already see this?
It's so repetitive of the genre that I had to question if I'd already seen it. How did you make an original show that clear into episode 3 kept making me think from the beginning that I already saw this as a movie for sure! I hardly review anything, but I had to look this show up to be sure I hadn't seen it before. I thought that from the first 20 minutes.
The Big Bang Theory: The Conference Valuation (2019)
Amy is the boss!
Mayim Bialik is the star of this show now. She out acts, and pulls you in, in a way none of the cast can touch. I never saw her earlier acting. In this, she is so fun. I'm a new fan.
The Gifted (2017)
Dumb as hell!
Was really rooting for a new marvel series. I give mad leeway for plot flaws because I love the trend of comics to cinema. That said... My uncontrollable asshole portal power is always ONLY in front of police who just so happen to be chasing us specifically! What idiot wrote and what other idiot cleared this?
Is the Man Who Is Tall Happy?: An Animated Conversation with Noam Chomsky (2013)
Utterly annoying and distracting from the topic
I would have LOVED to hear a good film with some narration concerning Naom. Instead I got a constant annoying projector and misc sounds interrupting what was otherwise a potentially great film. The graphics were amateurish and often pointless. I felt it discounted from his responses more than enhancing them. I didn't see the point in the perpetual noise or randomly agitating the viewer with unnecessary sound. I'm not so schizophrenic I need perpetual noise in order to appreciate an otherwise potentially dry point. Not that I even think of Naom as dry! He's interesting and all that crud did was detract from his speaking or the ability to focus on it. You'd think you'd want to enhance what he is saying but this film does everything but. It just wasn't enjoyable . . . . . . . . . .
Revolution (2012)
A great show that could could be better.
This show combines all the facets of todays society into what if and after. Post apocalyptic with it's own twist. The twist is how the apocalypse happens to begin with. Electricity is gone due to a programmed micro virus that pervades all of reality. Enough that it can take over humans and becomes self aware. It shuts down all electricity on the planet except where it chooses. It is essentially god. The series is pedantic at times but largely rich, progressive, and flows forward well in a way that keeps you wanting to know and see more. Some of the writing and acting could use a little work but... the concept and story at large is awesome! It's main downside only in writing is that it sometimes over explains itself and uses clichés. I hate clichés... it's a writing crutch and the result of lack of sociological education. AKA... you don't know what's hip.
