Taboo (1980)

Classic in every sense of the word!!!
23 December 2005
Classic adult feature with the legendary Kay Parker and Mike Ranger (as the stud, her son). They just don't make'm like this anymore. Good interesting story along with some pretty intense action. Not by the new millennium standards (action wise), but great acting and a story to go along with it.

**** out of a possible ****, rent it or buy it wherever you can find it. Availible in a recently remastered DVD version. This even has an audio commentary by Kay Parker, which is pretty great to listen to. An also excellent sequel was made a year or so after this one, aptly titled, Taboo II. Which once again starred Kay Parker,in a smaller, less meatier role, although she still played the same character as in the first.

This movie is no `Xanadu`
11 February 2004
This movie is very similar to the 1980 film Xanadu. A lot of IMDB users may not like that film either, but at least Xanadu had the beautiful Olivia Newton-John and a great soundtrack. This film has about 10 minutes of the cute Marisa Tomei and 1 decent soundtrack song (Say the Word by Arcadia). I wanted this movie to end so badly, yet it was like watching a car accident. I just couldn`t turn away because it was so bad!! This movie is no `Xanadu`.

Let It Be (1970)

Last great movie of the world`s greatest band
21 February 2003
The Beatles made 5 films during their rein of rock royalty, for my money this is by far the best, most intimate rock documentary ever made. It starts with one simple, haunting shot of Ringo`s drum kit and ends with an invigorating roof-top concert. In between we get to see run-throughs and rehearsals of some of their best music they ever recorded. We also see several arguments between John, Paul & George. Ringo is pretty even-tempered throughout the film. Oh yes, and we do see a lot of Yoko Ono (mostly by John`s side). Let it Be was released on video at the dawn of the home video market. It was quickly withdrawn for legal reasons. Hopefully, one day very soon, Paul and Ringo will grant a re-release on dvd so many generations of fans can see this great movie.
