Threshold (2005)
Amazing
Threshold was no doubt the best show of the season and should by no means have been canceled. I watched every single network pilot and this war by far the best (the only premieres that came close were Invasion and Everybody Hates Chris, the latter of which turned out not to be as good as its first episode). The cast was brilliant and the storyline was very intriguing. This is more concrete and defined than Invasion, and so ridiculously much better than NBC's Surface. Halfway through the 2005-2006, I would put this show above The Office, The Shield, Six Feet Under, The West Wing, 24, Lost, and NCIS, all of which are having great seasons. I was so annoyed when this was canceled in favor of such horrible television as The War at Home, My Name is Earl, Related, Surface, Twins, Out of Practice, and so many more. I am eagerly awaiting a DVD release and recommend this show to anyone. If you don't love the two-hour premiere, the show may not be for you, but at least watch that and then make a judgment.
Serendipity (2001)
A good romantic comedy where Eugene Levy shines.
The plot is good. The acting is good - especially Eugene Levy, who brings this movie's hilarity to great heights. Definitely a movie worth seeing - a nice blend of comedy, romance, and emotional drama. A very good film.
Meet Joe Black (1998)
The greatest ending to a long, somewhat interesting film.
The ending to this movie is spectacular. The movie itself goes on for a little too long, but Anthony Hopkins, Brad Pitt, and Claire Forlani make this a movie worth seeing. You may enjoy it, but it probably won't be your favorite film.
A Beautiful Mind (2001)
The best movie I have ever seen.
This is definitely the best movie I have ever seen. A great story mixed with excellent acting from Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, and though he was not nominated for any awards, Ed Harris. I was lucky enough to see it before any of the awards ceremonies where the plot was revealed, but it is still a movie to see.
Black Knight (2001)
The worst movie I have ever seen.
I never once laughed in this incredibly stupid movie. Martin Lawrence was not funny at all, and the movie could easily have been the worst medieval drama ever. I saw the trailer, and I thought that the movie would be good, but the only chuckle you ever get is from one or two lines the first time you watch the trailer.
The Fast and the Furious (2001)
Great movie with the best car racing ever.
Perfect casting of Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, and the rest of the street racers helps this incredible car racing movie to soar. The movie does have a plot, and the car racing scenes top any ever made before them. This movie did not originally appeal to me, but when I saw it, it became one of my favorite movies ever.
Meet the Parents (2000)
Funny movie with Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro.
I know this movie was found very funny by most audiences, and I thought it was somewhat funny as well, but definitely not as good as Keeping the Faith, by far Stiller's best movie. Still a movie to see, but see it with many people, not alone because it is funnier with an audience.
Remember the Titans (2000)
Great movie with excellent cast.
This is one of those great-casted movies, but one with an incredible true life plot. Denzel Washington excells as the first African-American coach of an interracial high school football team. A movie with one of the greatest endings ever.
The Matrix (1999)
The greatest action scenes ever.
In a great movie whose casting of Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, and Carrie-Anne Moss fit perfectly with the theme of the movie, the greatest action scenes ever top the incredibly deep plot. With Academy Awards for all four special effects and sound nominations, this movie is incredible.
Shrek (2001)
The greatest animated movie ever.
Some of the funniest people put together in what is most definitely the greatest animated movie ever. Eddie Murphy steals the show as the talking donkey, and Mike Myers stars as the lonely ogre Shrek. Definitely a movie for all ages to see, not just kids.
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)
The coolest Star Wars movie ever.
Despite minor plot flaws which drew countless bad reviews, especially the C+ from Entertainment Weekly Magazine, the special effects in this movie top those from any previous movies. Yoda returns in complete CGI-form, which makes for the greatest lightsaber duel ever. Definetely a must-see, in theaters if you can.
Independence Day (1996)
One of the greatest science fiction movies ever.
Independence Day is up there with all of those other great science fiction movies. Incredible special effects are present throughout this spectacular, well-cast movie. Will Smith and Judd Hirsch provide a good mix of comedy throughout the movie.
Star Trek: Generations (1994)
A great ending for the saga of Captain James T. Kirk.
I personally don't understand why everyone hated this movie so much. I thought the concept of the nexus was excellent, and the acting was not very bad, and William Shatner was able to fill the role of Captain James T. Kirk very well.
Ocean's Eleven (2001)
Great movie with excellent cast!
This movie, when released in theaters, was bombarded with bad reviews, but i think that this truly was an excellent movie. Elliott Gould and Carl Reiner were excellent, and George Clooney and Brad Pitt worked well for their roles. Julia Roberts pretty much only walked around the whole time, but this is definitely a worthwhile movie.
