Cybergirl (2001–2002)
Not the best sci fi, but certainly not the worst. 6/10
24 September 2002
When I first saw this show, my initial reaction was not a good one. It seemed a little cheap and childish.

It took me a few episodes before I realized that this is the point.

Cybergirl is not a top notch sci fi with state of the art effects, and its not trying to be. It is simply a drama series about an Alien girl trying to become human in a strange world.

Many science fiction stories today seem to devote themselves to effects and not story, but Cybergirl does not. Because of this there are some nice story lines and fast paced action sequences, all backed up by a wicked heavy beat soundtrack.

Cybergirl is not the best sci fi, but it is certainly the best show to come out of FoxKids in a long time, and younger teens should like it (though saying that, I'm seventeen).

Roll on Two Towers
9 August 2002
Lord of the Rings, Fellowship of the Ring is so amazing a film that I went to see it three times at the cinema (I have never done that before).

It manages to be comical, adventurous, thrilling and moving in one action packed sweep of brilliant script, beautiful cinematography and special effects. The acting is also very good, Elijah Wood simply IS Frodo Baggins and I think Ian Mckellen was robbed of an Oscar.

Yes its almost three hours long, but it is so fast paced that you don't feel the time pass.

To summarise.whether you are a Fan of Tolkien or not (Why Not?), I highly recommended this film.

Roll on Two Towers.

Final Fantasy X (2001 Video Game)
8/10
Wow, enough said.
18 July 2002
This game is very addictive. If this is not because of the eye popping visuals, game play, or the amazing soundtrack then it must be the story line, a saga that leaves you constantly playing just to find out what happens next.

The game play consists of exploring brilliantly detailed environments until you either trigger one of over a hundred FMV's or are attacked by a fiend. Each fiend has its own strength and weaknesses, as do the seven characters with which you play, which demands strategy and planning which goes beyond simply pounding everything that tries to eat you. This really adds the only negative point of the game, as it can get a bit tedious after a while, even though spots of variety are added with exciting sub games including the sport of Blitzball.

But it is well worth is just to watch those FMV's, containing graphics which in some place is almost as good as the film (Yuna's hair is much better than Aki's).

People also tell me that this is the first game of the series to include complete voice over acting. Unlike some games, buf if that is so then FFX has done its research taken the time to employ proper people who can actually act, as opposed to the cringe inducing excuses you get on some games today.

In short, FFX is the first Final Fantasy game I have played, but it won't be the last. 4 / 5

Will & Grace (1998–2020)
Just Jack. Just Brilliant.
12 July 2002
Will & Grace is an amazing situation comedy concerning a couple in New York, one Gay (Eric McCormac) and one Straight (Debra Messing), and the situations that befall both them and their friends (Megan Mullally and the brilliant Sean Hayes). The wittiness of Friends combines with the intelligence of Frasier to give you thirty minutes of brilliant script, hilarious story lines, and characters that you both cheer and sympathise for in equal measure. Excellent 5/5
