The Julie Andrews Hour (1972)
Really have enjoyed the bits and pieces that have come my way audio,or video
Would so much like to see this series made available on DVD or the audio via cd. these shows are creative and include some of the very best performers no longer with us. Indeed we don't even have Ms Andrews voice coming to us in new forms. On these tapes she is in fine voice and sings material not recorded any where else.
Unconditional Love (2002)
wonderful morning
I origionally purchased this movie just to catch the two cameos by Julie Andrews. Was I ever surprised as pre release comments had not given one much hope, and greatly to my surprise I was moved one to tears then to laughter.Kathy Bates did a wonderful job as did most of the others..and ofcourse Julies bits were very funny and over way to fast..Makes me wonder why this warm little musical got lost and did not make it's appearance on the big screen..this is one to see again and again just to keep up a happy heart.I watched it twice in a row because it felt so good...a job well done and underrated..
Darling Lili (1970)
one of the most delightful movies with a great score that listen to daily
i found the story to be just enough of a thriller that the wonderful henry mancici music didn't lull me. julie andrews was excellant and i sure don't understand why this movie had problems at the box office when it came out because it just makes me happy at the end to have everybody singing. and i do like happy ever after endings which i think you can say this movie has along with some traditional blake edwards humor...
