Deer Crossing (2012)
If you're in the mood for an absolutely horrible, unwatchable, misogynistic piece of garbage DON'T MISS THIS FILM!
Spoilers? Spoilers? Are you serious. This "movie" was "spoiled" the moment the notion came to the "writer" to actually take any more than one second to explore that idea. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT WASTE ONE SECOND of your precious life on this dross. You'd be better off having root canal therapy on the same day you called out of work with the flu. I struggled through 35 minutes, begged for mercy, and sped to Redbox to return that crap! On the other hand, if you can keep your sense of humor about you, you may delight in one of the worst scripts you've ever heard. A profound abomination. Or if you want to refine you ability to appreciate border-line actors, watch this "film" -- you'll see the worst of the worst, and then those folks you thought were bad will be elevated just a tad.
Ta-weo (2012)
September 11, 2001, in Korean (rude)
This film is a "disaster movie" all right!! A huge DISASTER! The writing is absolutely horrid; one tired, unrealistic, silly cliché after another. The acting fits perfectly with the dialog; it is equally horrendous. And the "predictability factor" is off the charts; here's how predictable it is. Even if you HAVE NOT SEEN IT you know EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENS! How's that for predictability? However, the awful writing, the dreadful acting, and the predictable predictability are NOT what's worst about this film. The real repulsiveness comes from the shameless way this film takes from the TRUE DISASTER of 9/11/2001, right down to people putting up photos of loved ones on billboards along the sidewalk. It's shameless, exploitation, and unwatchable. The CGI was wonderful, but what an abject waste of technology. Don't see it. You've got better things to do.
Drag Me to Hell (2009)
Aside from a several "laugh out loud" cheesy moments, it was not "bad."
OK....The blood spurting nose was hysterical for its cartoonesque absurdity. "Did I get any in my mouth! Did I get any in my mouth! Did I get any in my mouth!" exclaims the bank's manager as a hose's worth of blood projects from Jill's right nostril. Too funny! Another really funny moment (and I did "lol") was when Mrs. Ganush "gums" Jill's chin; haha!! Too funny. And the projectile maggot vomit scene was also very humorous, as was the projectile cat vomit scene (no, it's not a cat vomiting, it's a character puking up a cat!). There are other moments too....arm in the mouth, up to the elbow!! OUCH! The phony goat! All very funny. But the funniest moment of the film for me was when -- AFTER THE HOSE-WORTHY BLOOD FROM THE RIGHT NOSTRIL SCENE IN THE BANK -- Justin Long's character says to Jill, "Hi. I heard you left work early today." YOU DID!!!!!!!! YOU HEARD SHE LEFT WORK EARLY!!!!???? Did they tell you that she actually re-painted the inside of the bank, including the PEOPLE, WITH BLOOD FROM HER RIGHT NOSTRIL!!!!!!!!??????????????? No. Oh. They must have forgotten. Anyway, I'm not utterly killing the film. Just know that there are some ridiculously amusing moments in a film that, every once in a while is a little creepy. Lower your standards. Tune your sense of humor, and enjoy it.
