Escape Room (2019)
I wouldn't watch it for a second time
I always love escape movies. Although this one is not really bad, this is not exactly my kind of escape movie. I'd prefer one that has a more satisfying closure.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
The pinnacle of Marvel's years of story building
This is definitely the pinnacle of Marvel's years of story building, so epic, so mesmerizing, so perfect. I couldn't imagine any superhero movie could be any greater than this, at least not in the foreseeable future.
I don't think anybody should miss this movie. Watch it while it's still playing on theatres. This could be the greatest movie of this decade, or even any decade for that matter.
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
This movie should win an Oscar for its sound
I've been listening to Queen's music all my life, so I thought nothing would surprise me much but I was wrong! Listening to Queen's music in a movie really gave me a whole different experience. The sound is amazing, even the opening Fox fanfare gave me goosebumps. This movie should be awarded with an Oscar for its unbeatable music and sound.
Bad Cat (2016)
Awesome animation, somewhat awful story
First off, I never expected a Turkish animation could be this good -- how I was wrong. The animation is so great I can't help not to write a review; something I don't usually bother doing. The level of details put into every scene is stunning, the character motions, the physics of things, the visual effects and everything that a good 3d movie should tend to was done close to perfection. As far as the animation goes, this movie is a real winner. But now here comes the unfortunate part: the story. From the beginning, I felt nothing is so engaging about the story. I was honestly bored and could have left the movie after 15 minutes if it wasn't for the animation. I watched the English-dubbed version, so maybe something is lost in translation. There isn't much to enjoy from the dialogs througout the duration, some were crude, some were cheesy and none is entertaining. But again, this is the dubbed version I was watching. if only I could understand the movie in its original language, probably I could have enjoyed it more. However kudos to the team behind this animaton work.
Fringe (2008)
too x-files, good but not great
The show reminds me a lot of X-files. If only it came before X-files, I believe people would appreciate it more. But now, this kind of theme is not so original anymore. My appreciation to the show, however, is because it comes from JJ Abrams, the same guy creating Lost. While Lost is, like, the best TV show I ever saw, I'm expecting that Fringe could come near to that quality of Lost very soon. The idea of a grand mastermind behind the pattern, the observer and something at an apocalyptic level that awaits -- they are actually pretty cool to start with. Fringe also has interesting 'odd couple' characters (Peter and his father) that spice up the show with fresh humor amidst its dark and violence nature. I think, given enough time this show would turn out great eventually.
