200 Degrees (2017)
Misleading ratings!
From my point of view, this movie is not even nearly that bad as it is rated here. Acting might be a little bit soft but i think it is compensated with the overall thrill and somewhat constant "heated" pace. At first i had some second thoughts about watching this, considering the rating it has got, but also considering that many other way better movies have low ratings i told my self i could give it a chance and now i'm just glad that i did. I think you could easily give it a chance, might be surprised (in the good way).
Brick Mansions (2014)
What happened in Banlieue 13, should have stayed in Banlieue 13.
A rather boring version/remake of Banlieue 13. Some actors just aren't made for some roles... yeah many of us mourn Paul Walker but this doesn't mean he was awesome in this movie... Banlieue 13 was perfect as it was, and didn't need a step by step but worse remake like this movie. What I'm trying to say is that actors like Paul Walker (usually pro driver role) or Arnold Schwarzenegger (brutal action type), or why not Dwayne Johnson for example (another brutal action type) are not meant for these agility/acrobatic/parkour kind of roles. That's about everything I had to say about Brick Mansions.
I just don't have any more lines to add for this review.
What happened in Banlieue 13, should have stayed in Banlieue 13.
Peace!
Da Vinci's Demons (2013)
Inspiring, adventurous and captivating series for all ages!!!
A great show for all ages, starting with the young to adults! It has drama, humor, balance between good and evil and how good will thrive through its obstacles while is guided by the good and nice intentions.
I simply love this show as it's putting a smile on my face even in my bad days and makes me think about my problems and how there are solutions where I see only dead ends some times...
If you have kids and you wonder if this show has any violence in it and if they should or shouldn't watch this, keep this in mind: Yes there is violence but there is also the consequence of violence and lessons to be learned for those that use violence above others, or choose to resolve some issues in a violent manor rather than the peaceful way.
Then ask yourself: Is it OK for my child to learn only about the violence that is presented in the NEWS at TV or searched on GOOGLE, or is it better to learn about it in a nice TV-Series that also shows the consequences of violence and a way to avoid it and go the peaceful way and beside all, get some nice, worthy historical knowledge about our world too?
Maybe I went a bit far from the whole subject here, but there are only so many kids in this world and I only want the best for them and a bright future in a peaceful world.
So, all in all, it's a beautiful TV-Series for all ages that will make you smile and feel good, even if you are 15, 35, 55 or even 95 years old.
Man from Shaolin (2012)
Good action, not exaggerate and very touching story!
At first, I can say that I have watched tons of Asian movies involving martial arts, and most of them rely on action basically, without any kind of good story line.
In this movie, the physical action it's decent and quite well made, and the story line is interesting and will keep you wondering and thinking what could happen next. Acting is pretty good, I can say, comparing with the rest of the movies in this category that I have seen.
Beware it's not that "killing and smashing" kind of martial arts movie. It's more of a drama, and a very touching on, and I can't say I'm that type of a person who like this kind of movies, but regardless of my beliefs, I really enjoyed this one.
I don't know why people usually give this awful grades to movies, but I definitely can give this one a 10, as I did. I sincerely recommend it! Didn't want to tell you more about the movie so I wouldn't ruin the surprise, and keep you curious.
Robin Hood (2010)
far worse than i could ever expected :(
In the beginning they don't say its about the beginning of his life...how he become the "Robin Hood"... He fires he's bow about 5 times in whole movie? Really, that's all about Robin Hood...his skills with the bow...i didn't payed ticket to see him mastering a sword whole movie.. :))) that's crap... that was no action movie... bloody juicy..romantic....look what happens if you put old man playing action movies... You'll get a bloody romantic kinder drama instead of an action movie. Even as a romantic movie... same story like most of romantic ones, guy comes from nowhere, falls in love, rescues the girl, and they live happily ever after... but Robin Hood should be about the action not the love he can make :))))
