A Jolly, Good Ride!
9 April 2023
Of the various live-action adaptations of anime that I have yet seen, this one has done the best in staying true to the essence of the anime, all while making it still feel believable! I don't remember there being so much gore in the anime, but it has been quite some time since I've watched it, so I could be wrong there. I loved that they kept the intro the same, and the humor is great! The actors did a fantastic job (for live-action anime, that's no easy feat!), and the set and graphics stayed true to the gritty style of the anime as well! I was quite pleased! My only complaint, especially since a very prominent character makes their appearance at the very end of the show, is that there is no second season! PLEASE MAKE A SECOND SEASON!!! Or at least a nice movie that will wrap it up with all the characters having their time to shine.

The Spirit of Christmas (2015 TV Movie)

An underrated gem!
4 December 2022
This movie has all the right vibes for Winter and Christmas time, with coziness, classic countryside/small town Christmas aesthetic, a "timeless" romance with a dash of wit and humor, and a good ghost story to boot!

This one surprised me and surpassed my expectations. Good Christmas movies, particularly romantic ones, tend to be hard to find. I came across this purely by chance and it quickly became a favorite that I must watch every December!

Can't say much else without spoiling anything. At this point I'm just trying to run out the required character number. Help me out here and just go watch it! Go! XD.

NOT Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire!
13 November 2022
This is not true to the story, nor accurate to the time-line of when it took place! Liberties were taken that shouldn't have been. For one thing, it is so far off that it should NOT be titled "Interview with the Vampire," nor should it be listed as having any affiliation with the original story. It can only lightly be said that some elements were inspired by Anne Rice. It's more of a fan fiction with little to no historical accuracy.

The cinematography, costume, and music is well done. So visually it is pleasing. Anyone watching should detach any expectation of it being true to Anne Rice's work.

As far as teen dramas go, it's pretty good and worth watching.

Sadly Underrated
31 January 2021
I found this to be a very good film with an excellent cast! It was thrilling and thought provoking with a good twist to it. Some parts were a little predictable, but honestly that's to be expected given how much ground the film and television industry has covered. So anyone giving this a horrendously harsh review could probably use a corkscrew.

An underrated gem!
7 October 2020
For its time, this was a great movie! It was one of my favorites growing up that can be easily paired with "The Goonies" and "Holes" for rustic adventure vibes! Definitely underrated. I hope it resurfaces in the future and brings in a wider audience!

Great Nature/Climate documentary!
11 July 2020
This is truly one of the best and most beautiful nature/climate documentaries I have ever seen and I strongly recommend anyone and everyone to watch it!

This should be taught as part of the general education in every school and grade! Perfect field trip too; learning about the importance and function of trees and our forests, why they should be protected and restored, and the act of planting trees to save the world!

An underrated film.
21 June 2020
I just came across this on Amazon Prime and was stunned to find it had only a 6 star rating. The plot is compelling. The acting is good. It is an emotional and harrowing story. It further reveals and confirms that human civilizations in every culture are guilty of colonial cruelty, tyranny, and injustice. But there are tales through all of courage in the face of such extreme adversity.

This is a worthy viewing for any film lover looking to expand their cultural horizons.

A captivating series
18 June 2020
This show does a good job at sucking in the viewer and touches on some sensitive topics, that should be brought to light more, and leaves the viewer invested in the chatacters and wanting more.

There are two VERY SHORT seasons this far, the second season leaving off on a major cliffhanger! As in it can't possibly be the end of the story because it's clearly NOT the end of the story. That being said I sincerely hope the writers and HBO renew for a third (and final) season. I just read an article saying that chances are slim. The writers apparently don't want an overly long series, which I respect and concur with, however, this series and it's viewers deserve an actual conclusion to the show. The characters deserve resolution. To end it at season two where it left off is like cutting a story short in the middle of the plotline.

Please, PLEASE, renew for a third season! It doesn't need to go beyond that but it DOES need a third season with a conclusion!

A better, more mature version of "The Heart of Dixie"
19 May 2020
Very similar plot line, with some differences, that unfold in a more adult, less "teen drama" sort of way. It's got a nice simplicity to it that keeps me watching. When I need something more mellow, this is a good series to come to.

Outstanding Series!!!
4 December 2019
I'm glad to see that this series got nominated a few times. It definitely deserves praise!

This is one of my top favorite television series that I frequently rewatch and recommend to anyone who has not yet seen it! The cinematography, music, location, sound, editing, acting, etc..., was truly exceptional. Generally American history doesn't really hold my interest. So for a series based on American history to have me utterly addicted should stand as testament to how good this one is!

Sadly Underrated

I do not understand how this beautiful film could have such . . . abysmal ratings. I believe it deserves more credit. Anyone with a love of literature or this style of film should definitely give it a watch and appreciate it!

Warrior Women
26 June 2019
I love these films. This Actress did a great job in her versatility, especially since I first saw her in The Crown.

All I gotta say is this world needs more women like that character!

Cliffhangers and Qs
21 May 2019
A bit of a slow start but it does get pretty much straight to the point. No jump scares. No typical Satan, Lucifer, or "witchcraft" (which is a load of bull since the Craft has absolutely nothing to do with devil worship and anyone claiming to be a Witch who practices "black magick" or anything with ill intent is a liar, but I digress) as the culprit.

You get no answers in this film. Clearly there's more to the pendant/amulet than what they go into. And it ends with a clear opening for a part two (which it desperately NEEDS) but as it has subpar ratings, there's little guarantee that there will be one. I'll keep my fingers crossed in hope though because it would be worth watching.

Anyway, if anyone else is a fan of Frank Dillane and has respect for his projects they'll give this film a chance.
