Coming 2 America (2021)
Fall Fall Short.
I already expected this to be a letdown, but the sequel to "Coming To America" is nothing more than shallow clashes', predicable flash backs and tired old jokes that were used in the first movie. If this movie had been done 20 years ago and the plot focused around a younger cast, I think that the theme and plot line would have flowed much better. "Coming To America 2" offers nothing new or exciting to see. This movie is weak and falls far short of the classic original.
Glitter (2001)
Singing And Acting Don't Mix.
What do you get when you take a over hyped singer and put her in a movie? You get Glitter. This is an example of why most singer should stay singers. Acting is not something that Mariah Carey should have not let an agent talk her into. This was suppose to be a romance movie, but if I had been the guy that she was after, I would have stepped in front of a speeding truck just to get out of this travesty of a film. The only good thing about this move are the credits at the end. That way you know that you reache the end of such a bad movie.
Leonard Part 6 (1987)
He Should Have Stuck With Jello.
Bill Cosby should have been put on trial for this lame excuse of a movie. He tries to be a superhero. I was rooting for the bad guys to kill him in the first three minutes. Stand up comic, Bill was. Sitcom actor, Bill was. Big screen actor, Bill wasn't. At least in this turd of a movie. Bad script, bad acting, bad idea. Bad movie.
Jack and Jill (2011)
Adams worst movie.
I was working at a juvenile recovery center and was forced to take some of the clients to see this movie. Since I can't come up with five lines to describe how bad this movie is, I will just say the following: suck, suck. I hope Adam Sanders burns in he'll for this movie. SUCK, SUCK, plays both parts of brother and sister, both should have died at birth. SUCK,SUCK. Please stop making movies like this. Leaving the theater after the movie was over was the only highlight.
Going Overboard (1989)
A Bad Movie On A Boat.
This movie is not as band as Adam Sandler's Jack and Jill, but it's very close. This was his first movie and some say that it should have been his last. The movie was bad all the way around. Nothing redeeming to even give something good to say about it. Its a typical late 80's bad movie. This one should have never been released on DVD.
Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny (1972)
Beyond Bad.
I saw this when I was a kid and remember it being one of the worst movies ever. Many year later, someone I knew found a copy on a VHS tape and we watched. It confirmed what I knew as a child, this is a very bad movie. Why this thing was ever made to begin with is one question left to be answered? Why it was put on video is another. ALL copies should be destroyed to save the world from this travesty.
State of Emergency (2011)
Great effort, and a pleasant surprise.
I am a horror movie fan, expectually of low budget and independent films, and I will give most films a chance. I have viewed quite a few good movie, and I have suffered through many really bad ones. But to be honest, I wasn't expecting 'State of Emergency' to be nothing more than another low budget dud. The only reason that I wanted to view this film was the fact the I live in Bath county, Kentucky, and 'State of Emergency' was filmed on location in Montgomery county, the county that I live next to. I know the area very well and I thought at least it would be cool to see some place that I see almost everyday in a movie. As for the movie, I thought I would manage to get through it without too much pain.
Well I must admit to myself that I was pleasantly surprised that State of Emergency far better than I expected. While this isn't film may not be the best that I have ever seen, I do like this film. The movie is simple, not too over the top with consent kill on kill zombie action. A lot was done with less, and the filmmakers made a good action pack movie. The plot was good and easy to follow without being too weighed down by too many clichés that I normally see in many zombies movies.
After watching State of Emergency, I can say that this is a well made film. And this is one that I will watch again. The Clay brothers did a great job on this film, and I hope to see more from these guys. Keep up the great work guys, and thanks for a nice movie.
