Difficult movie for most to comprehend...
18 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This is a great movie telling of the behind the scenes of what US did to end the Russian invasions in the Middle East. 97% of the movie covers the steps leading up to the end of the invasion. The remaining 3% only mentions the terrible, terrible decisions the US and the Middle East countries did post aftermath. This is the part that most do not comprehend because they severely lack the knowledge to fully understand the implications this had on everyone, and I mean everyone even today.

If you're one of the later watchers that doesn't know their history then you can't appreciate the movie in its entirety nor the subtle cries it makes. I would highly to either read up on the wars before watching it or doing that afterwards and watch it again.

I make the above comment because although Charlie did do a great thing to end the invasions the US decisions afterwards essentially created what we have today. The lack of support allowed for the increase chaos over the decades to build to the horrors the world is seeing today.

Do your research you'll enjoy and hate the movie a lot more.

Most of it is forced and artificial...Still a good watch though
10 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I felt the movie was too forced and artificial in many cases, especially the scenes with Tyson. This is entirely because of Tyson's poor acting ability and the mix of English/Chinese dialogues.

The franchise has gone Hollywood in the sense that it no longer resembles the factual history of Yip Man himself. The first and second did a much better job with respect to the time period and the economic hardship of its time. Having said that it is still a movie to enjoy because Donnie Yen is fantastic as Yip Man and it joy to watch fight.

The limited introduction of Bruce Lee is an odd bag. The timing is just wrong for his age. He began his apprentice under Yip in 1957. Yip would have been 64 years old, which is rightly so. Remember Bruce have come to American and attended school. He is still young but not that young. The actor that plays him looks very much like Bruce. Makes me miss Bruce all that much more actually. I believe he has played Bruce in another Chinese movie a while back as well, hence the part.

Since the movie is not an actual telling of the story it goes without saying that the romance between him and his wife is mostly made up. This artificial injection does not appeal to me at all. I rather have the story of the hardship and the struggles that Yip went through including the abandonment of his wife. The Grandmaster played by Tony Leung is a more accurate telling of his marriage.

This franchise series also does not include Yip's eventual career as a police officer until his late years, nor does it include his exit from practicing and teaching except, of course, until Bruce Lee.

I best end it here with the fictional dramatization. It is a movie made for the mainstream rather then a documentary. Lastly it is a good movie just for the fight scenes, especially the one at the end. Enjoy.

Okay movie
10 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
The movie is a good watch if you have the time and a better one if you're interested in a particular aspect of the Korean "culture" in areas like Korean Town in New York, LA and any other similar place. There are good merits to the movie but overall I think the story dragged on longer than it should and some of the plot elements left short.

Lets start with the goods. The acting by everyone in the movie is superb. Even the minor supporting roles are well done and very believable. John Cho is pretty good and you can see some of Harold Lee, from Harold and Kumar, coming out of him. I would have to favor Jun Sung Kim as the best actor in the movie though.

The references to some of the culture is pretty interesting. Let me remind all that this is for Korean and does not represent all Asian cultures. This club whatever thing is common for Koreans, Japanese and Chinese but not so much with others. Personally, I find it appalling beyond belief. It is one of humanities worst disgrace as a species.

There may be some confusion regarding the plot and the ending of the movie for some. I'll try to summarize without giving too much away. John is persuaded to go out and find a case that his company could use to help with their profile. He finds one in the murder case of Lila Lee's brother Kevin. John puts in a great effort and sincerity to help with the case despite having been told by his boss concerning the deal with the DA. He forges on, however, and quickly learns the darker side money laundry.

There aren't many twists in the movie aside from this one. Towards the end when he is finally told by Mike Juhn, he realizes he has been used by both parties in his sincere efforts to win the case for the company. Lila has been playing both him and Mike from the onset. Mike see's her as this goody, educated, home girl unlike those of the salon. During his killing spree of the said salon he finds out she isn't any different than the rest and is in fact much, much worst. She is behind the scene, lying and covering her acts. The other woman are in a sense "cleaner" than she is in that respect. This example is shown in the character of Suki Kim who lives a more normal life, is actually a nice person in real life but because she is new to America there isn't much choice other than working at the salon to live off of. Vastly different than Lila.

John learns that Lila has played him using her goody, mama girl side of her and that he was lucky to even be alive if not for his quick thinking. She had in fact initiated Mike's murder spree that ended up with John almost being killed. This was triggered when Suki decided to tell John that she saw the murder scene with Kevin. Without knowing, John brought Lila in to meet Suki to help translate. This is the event that triggered Mike's desperation and killing spree.

The ending was too quick and leaves much to be desire. John is now a partner in the law firm after the success of the case, which went much deeper than just the murder case with Kevin. You see this with the camera recordings of employees of the salon and John's talk on the phone about the case. This also leads to the change in John's attitude towards "these" people. "I love to see these f**kers sweat." Lila also drops by to deliver some tangerines to John, dressed up as a home girl. This despite that fact that she knows that John knows that she is the person that strung him along. She was the one that played Mike to kill Suki and himself. She was the the one that place quilt and charm on him in her brother's case, even to the point of having him fall for her. The pure disgust John has at the end after tossing the tangerines in the trash is perfect.

Lila's character is extremely common in many Asian cultures. It plagues my culture as well. The homely, goody, mama's girl is the one to watch , in real life. The most horrific part about them is that they don't see what they're doing is in any way "wrong". Lila's character at the end with John and John's disgusted expression. Perfect example.

Like the movie dislike the culture, tradition and religious BS
3 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I enjoy watching this movie every now and then for both the negative and positive aspects of it. I think the movie is very well done and the acting is superb. The plot is simple and delightful. The journey to get there, however, is filled with...religious BS, which is part of their culture.

If you didn't understand the culture and religious zealots of middle easterners then this should be an eye opener. You get everything,

1. Women treated below men 2. Women's right non-existent 3. Division of the various region/tribe or what have you 4. The constant barrage of the Koran and its teaching everywhere, especially in the school. 5. The many ridiculous behaviors people have towards and in regards to the Koran (don't leave the Koran open or the devil will spit in it). 6. The brainwash of the people and kids with this religious stuff.

Don't get me wrong, this is their culture. This is how they are. Whether I like it or not bears little to change. I'll leave that up to more distinguish people to tackle.

The above is what makes this movie more "real" and in a sense enjoyable for me. It doesn't try to hide any of it but rather subtly injects them every now and then with the exception of religion. The religion prevalent throughout the movie.

There's also the part of the old culture mixed in with the modern world era. Things like giant flat screens, games, cell phones and all that is part of their lives. It is very interesting to see the adoption of some modern advances alongside the strict and unyielding religious dogma that Islam is.

Movie is about two sad and pathetic guys and...
1 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I did not enjoy the movie at all. The pace was slow and the entire premise is so pathetically sad it's god awful. I'm not sure why the reviews are so high for this movie. It is definitely a guy movie and if there's any women out there that actually loves it then god help them. Sure it has it's moments about truth and honestly but that's a tiny, tiny part of it all..toward the end of the movie. The rest is fill deceit, lies, depression, childish behaviors and you name it.

One is a failed writer and still is. Still can't get over his ex even though it's been 2 years. This is a very sad, depressed and pure negative person. There is no redeeming quality in this pathetic character in the movie. It is a waste of Paul Giamatti's talent.

The other is a small time actor with no future, stupid, childish, horny and has a delusional sense of moral and well...everything. His crying bit at the end not believable and it is meant to justify his treatment of women (purely as sex objects). Like I said, if any women actually liked this movie then God help them.

Again the pacing of the movie is slow and this is compounded by the lack of a good sound score. It often drags at times because the music just isn't there. And aside from the two main characters there aren't much in character development at all. This movie is OVER 2 hours long and with no character development or plot.If the plot is about two screwed up guys screwing themselves and others then expect it.

This was most disappointing movie that I've watched based on the "good" reviews. There are way too many stupid idiots out there reviewing movies.

Quite bad adaptation
27 February 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I believe my lowest score yet for a movie. This movie is quite bad in man, many ways. I most heart wrenching change for me is the change to use English instead of Chinese. This change loses its appeal quickly. English is not a very poetic language compare to many others.

In short this movie has low production values and average acting. I will summed them in pros/cons below, starting with the Cons as there are quite many.

CONS: 1. CGI is above average, not well done and not very believable in many scenes. Pales to movies decades ago.

2. Fighting Choreography is sub-par, slow at times. The use of the slow motion is awkward.

3. English language does not fit well with the setting at all. It just doesn't. The language itself is spoken coarsely and rightly so. But I can understand the reason for it. A very poor choice.

4. Acting by all cast members are not very good. Michelle is not very good, as always. Her character in the original was much better, passive but still has the sense of power and passion. The English dialogue makes them worse, especially the romantic parts.

5. Cinematography is average. The panning and views are no where near the quality of the first. Some camera angles and panning are not only awkward at times but terrible :/ 6. The setting of the era is too clean and touch up. By touch up I mean it has been glossy up to look pretty and clean, similar to that of photos. This "gloss" obviously affects the colors of the movie including the sunlight. In fact, in scenes where there is a sunrise/sun down you have this misty, glossy scene instead. The background becomes almost like a blur painting.

Most characters are "clean", even the poor and dirty ones. Thus it does not add to the setting at all.

7. Very scripted story that is not very believable. For example the meeting of the warriors and fight at the restaurant with Donny. I had to laugh at this scene. Story tries way too hard to emulate some of the points that worked in the first movie. They come out pale and empty in most cases.

8. Music is too simplistic, too modernized with the heavy use of violin and piano.

9. Longer than expected.

PROS: 1. Movie is made which I'm glad.

Good movie
12 January 2016
I've read the negative reviews of the movie and it appears they have little sympathy for the harsh reality of the film LMAO. If I wanted to see a beautiful Australia or doing right to Aborigines I go watch nature channel or Crocodile Dundee. The unwillingness to accept the fate the movie has bestow to the viewer at front is astonishing mind boggling they deserve their own Darwin award.

The movie is sad, it's depressing. It's not going to make you feel good aside from the few moments. So if you're expecting something entirely different than what it's going to give you then you're going to have to join the negative reviewers and grab yourself a Darwin award.

Whether Rex lives or dies is inconsequential. It's his denial of his life and the people around him that is in question.

Enjoy the movie. It's not a great movie but it's a good movie worth watching.

Monk (2002–2009)
7/10
I love the show but script is pretty awful
27 November 2015
I love the show and watch the whole series when I have a lot of free time. But the writing is just bad in some of the episodes. This is especially true of the supporting cast to Monk himself. While Monk is well developed the others are buffoons, literally morons.

Now, I'm not saying this because I don't like them because I do. But I cannot stand the bad script that they are given. This is more patronizing and absurd everyone around him lavishes and adores the the criminal even though Monk is never ever wrong. You would figure that after 200 cases with 100% success they would know better. But hey, maybe this is the comedy side of it. It's doesn't work for me. In fact, it makes me want to puke because it is so bad.

It is worse than the Randy character that they have created. We know that he's intentionally an idiot and a kiss-ass but the issue above isn't and it's not believable. Well, you could say that the script and characters' worship has a purpose but it is a very bad part of the episodes used in. Imagine being one of these buffoons adoring every star and every famous person. Now imagine them not being around monk, how their life would have crumble down in an instant because of their sheer adoration for others vanity.

In such cases I fast forward to the end to avoid all the fake set ups.

Good movie
15 November 2015
It is a well done movie all around. The acting is superb and away from your typical Bollywood singing stuff. The cinematography is also good and the colors realistic.

I have to say I am surprise at the whole movie, especially the actors. I think they did a wonderful job and shows that India does have good actors away from the, again, typically singing, drama, funny types. It is hard to explain, it's different from Slumdog and Marigold Hotel. If anything I would say it's because of the directing.

It is a shame that the culture and traditions are what they are. It is always an interesting mix when you see modern technology mixed in with the still arcane way of life. It is the same with our people as well. However, it is a realistic movie and one should appreciate the setting as much as the story.

Enjoy the movie.

Ash vs Evil Dead (2015–2018)
9/10
Great show
9 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
If you're a evil dead fan then you should be watching. Aside for the lower budget settings this is everything from evil dead. Ash is still really awesome and it is both funny and sad to see him hiding from what had happened but this quickly changes and he's back to his old bad-ass self :) The pilot is really Rami's and it is a little shame that he won't be directing the rest. However that doesn't mean the second episode wasn't great either.

You won't be disappointed with the show and setting, it's really good. I cna't wait for episode three already. I am not a fan of Lucy Lawless so I'm really not looking forward to her introduction. To be honest I don't know why she's even included. But we'll see.

Couldn't stand the bulgy lips on her
28 October 2015
Typical Disney movie trying to bank and promote an upcoming child star. As with all Disney stuff this is meant for the rich people out there. You have the nice clothes and settings. The movie was alright for what is it and again being a Disney movie after all. I have to say the production value appears to be above average though.

I didn't even get through the movie as every scene with Dove shows off her bright red and puffy lips. Now I find some people like this and I guess it is done to sexualize her but did we have to make it so big? If you google her and look at the photos she doesn't have the puffy lips. The problem with this is, of course, whenever she talks it appears unnatural. To me, it is gross. The close up gives me shivers. Reminds me of that one girl in the Transformers movie that had such a bad pair of puffy lips I cringed everything she was on screen.

Not impress
28 October 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Watched it because of the favorable reviews but it did not do anything for me. There isn't anything that sticks out. The acting is OK for both of the leads, the script was just bland, the interaction between them above average, the cinematography is nil, and so on.

It tries to be a "smart" type of movie but it really isn't. Big words are thrown every now and then between the two leads but this is more to lead the audience to believe there's some intelligence going on. As Jessie stated on the way back from the tour, it is some patronizing thing that the characters tries to put on the audience. It doesn't feel natural at all but then neither does it feel overly forced.

The music used in the movie is pretty simple, nothing extraordinary.

In the end there are better drama movies than this. Buddy films such as Pineapple express and even Zombieland have more emotion, attachment and realism than this movie.

script isn't that good
9 October 2015
Warning: Spoilers
While I don't mind the acting at all and I think everyone did a great job I think the script is just too...fairy tale as someone said in their review. We have an smart but rather incompetent woman going through hard times when the husband leaves (takes a break) because he's being treated like crap. Although not divorce she goes on to sleep with others while still pathetically doing bad at everything else. She's suppose to be a workaholic but the movie doesn't really show this. She's even hitting on her client, that's desperation and rightfully so.

All in all, this movie is a one time watch and forget. I wouldn't expect too much from it. Characters are not very well defined at all. The sister's character is all over the place.

Bad acting here and there
6 October 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is OK for kids and maybe some teenagers but I would not recommend it for the mass. The camera work and scene editing is amateurish. Some of the transitions and scenes make me cringe and this goes on throughout the movie.

The acting all around is quite bad. The lead actress Alexandria needs more work. The exception is Mr. Henriksen.

The script is good for the most part just but without good acting and screenplay it's not going anywhere. Some parts are acted out horribly, especially by Alexandria *cringed*

This movie is a slight step up from your sci-fi channel TV movies like Sharknado...maybe.

People missing the point of the movie
27 September 2015
I think the others that had commented on this movie are expecting something entirely different. This movie is paced so that it keeps you wondering what is happening,

1. Is there something beyond being colleagues for the two of them? 2. Why is he so anal about going into town, with a lot of cash? 3. Why does she want to come along even though her character really doesn't care one way or another. So much for being Butch.

People who can't enjoy the pacing and comedic tone of the movie have issues lol. You're seriously thinking way too much. You may be like the waitress on the potato or the cab driver who thinks it was infer to follow when he was told to wait RIGHT HERE. hahaha

As for the attack on Matthew this person needs a reality check. Matthew plays the father, casual sensible in a quirky way character. Calling him dull may actually be a compliment but then again the person may not get it lol. And yea Matthew has age and if you didn't like his "talking" character here how in the hell did you ever enjoy the rest of his previous movies lol. Oh the contradiction!

Movie is subtlety funny in a very obscure fashion. You really have to get it for the movie to be remotely watchable lol. Matthew is outright funny, especially the bit where he stops at the you know what shop. hahaha

Hey, everyone has different taste in comedy I guess. Enjoy though.

Pretty good and funny movie
4 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Reminds me Stand by me but not as good and not as serious, obviously. I really just wanted to write and laugh at the ignorance of some of the professional critics online. Most of them ridicule this movie for its unrealism of a kid running away and into the woods. Hahaha. I had a blast doing this when I was around 10 years old.

I mean seriously do these people not have a life when they were kids? Is this idea so far fetch that they can't imagine it can happen. Even so, is the imagination so limited that they can't fathom the idea. Well, no, it is none of these. From their "educated" analysis of the film it can be only two things, arrogance and stupidity.

Lets hope their kids grow up as pathetic as they do eh? hahahah

Pretty awful movie
28 August 2015
Warning: Spoilers
The whole plot has to be scripted from an insane person with a cynicism for a twisted, hellish so-called romantic movie. As another reviewer said it's all a mess. There's little chemistry between the characters, little development and most importantly no logic to what the hell is happening. This could have been written by a six year old and it may even be better!

If you want a quick summary of the movie it's about people cheating on each other and with their sisters. While it tries to make this obscure plot work it falls flat leaving the viewer with a really, really bad taste. I am surprise the kid is not in an insane asylum or that he didn't become Jason and start killing every one of the cheating adults.

Add to that horror the movie wants to put them all together. The cheating mother, the cheating father, the cheating sister, the cheater boyfriend and the innocent kid all in one roof. Imagine this; your wife cheats on you, brings the bf home to sleep and live in the same house as you and at the same time you are sleeping with young girls while trying to hide everything from the kid. Yea, it's that psychotic.

Skip the movie and save your sanity for those that already endured the pain.

Good movie
19 August 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I couldn't resist myself after reading some of the lower scores for this film. Some of these people are nuttier than Max!

There is a plot, several if you want to be specific about it. People just choose to ignore it or rather they don't care for it. The main plot is Furiousa taking the wives to a better place, a place that is suppose to be alive and vibrant. The side plots are Furiousa trying to find redemption, Max finding sanity and hope along the way (which he does at the end), and the least missed of it all - the disruption in power due to the deaths of at least 4 group leaders. No plot they say, LMAO!

Then I read people complaining about everything being available. No, the movie makes it clear that they either go to war with other groups to obtain the needed resources or trade them as with the 3 groups. This is why Furiousa drives a "War Rig". :) The movie even has a scene where they were suppose to trade oil for passage through the mountains. Immortal Joe has water, oil and green. The oil is most likely traded from the friendly groups. Seriously, you have to pay attention to the movie people.

There were several remarking that the world was lively and not post- apocalyptic enough, with people working and I guess having fun. Immortal Joe has them as slaves, under drugs. The movie makes this EXTREMELY clear throughout and especially at the beginning. Those that are brought up serve several purposes,

1. Provide milk 2. Sex slaves 3. Machinist slaves 4. Drugged up War Boys to die willingly for Joe

Those that are not brought up live a horrible, horrible life as seen in the movie. So again, why is it that some of you think it's all so pretty? Do you want like 10 people being around only LOL!

I can't stop laughing reading these ignorant comments. If you don't even pay attention to the movie you won't know what's going on! Might as well throw you money away or give it to charity. You'll be doing everyone a much better service rather than your short-sighted, clueless review.

There are better dramas
16 August 2015
Warning: Spoilers
There are spoilers. The movie really doesn't have the chemistry to carry it unlike others. The two main casts don't appear to match too well. I'm not entirely sure if this is because of the acting, script or the chemistry between them. As such it makes it hard to watch the movie through.

The beginning was a rough one for me. The premise is hard to swallow. The lady is a doctor trying her best to deceive, lie, mislead, con, and so on in order to save her career. Her task is to try to convince the guy to lie in court and frame the patients husband. This is suppose to be a romantic and funny setting but to me it is extremely despicable. The script even has her offering the guy fake reports. Yes, very romantic indeed.

The music is bland and uninspiring. If you want good music see A Moment to Remember or Memories of Matsuko. This is very generic 8-bit sounding. The supporting cast isn't anything to rave about either.

Like I said earlier there are better Koren dramas out there.

ill-informed reviewers
11 May 2014
The two "bad" reviews here simply do not understand why this was made. They clearly do not follow or understand the cause and work of these two men, Dawkings and Krauss. To simply judge them by this movie is ignorant and does a disservice to public and to their credibility. I say this because if one bothers to research for 15mins they would have found that these two men have been outspoken about the evolutionary and mysteries of the universe via science over the course of MANY, MANY years. So long that one is already retired! Having said that, this movie is just one project to help bring attention to the public where they can find some relation with the subjects. Since the majority of the general will never look up to or recognize a scientist the hope was that maybe a celebrity would. That is not to say they will stray from science and facts but will help support the cause by illuminating the subject further.

Debates have been done many, many times and are available for viewing on youtube. Lectures are also available. Presentations are available. Teaching and learning for kids to adults have been done. If you wanted any of these they are available for your digestion, and hopefully afterward, your would have learned and gather more FACTS to help you decide one way or another. They do not tell you to change but to accept what is 99.99999999% true vs absolutely NO FACTS argument such as religion.

With the internet being so widely available for research I fail to even begin to understand why people would continually provide reviews without any prior knowledge of the subject or person(s) in reference.

I love this movie cause of the kids
1 May 2014
I am a little bias here so I urge you to watch the movie and read other reviews for more in depth reviews. My review will be to comment specifically about the kids. They are super ADORABLE! And then the amazing piano competition scene, what talent O.o!

But I have to say this movie had me in tears several times only because the kids are so cute and adorable. They make me want to have kids of my own ASAP and play with them. They bring back memories of my childhood. Gah, I just absolutely love the kids.

I recommend this movie to anyone and hope it gets some showing in the states here.

Good sentimental movie
17 April 2014
This movie benefits from good actors and a well thought out script. The movie starts off rough as the man takes hostages but the script slowly works it way to explain his life and his time in jail. The controversial part of the movie, as I can see from some of the reviews here, is that he begins start his life anew with the mom and son. I am not sure what some reviewers would want to see rather than this transition as the story is carefully and methodically explained to them about his past life. So it only begs the question why would he act any different because he isn't really a criminal to begin with. Odd remarks by reviewers to be honest. People just don't pay enough attention to the details.

The movie does, however, remind me of Bridges of Madison County. The mood, setting and music lends itself to that similarity, one that I don't mind at all. If anything I recommend the movie for the good actors in the movie. I am surprised I missed the movie when it came out. Enjoy.

Good attempt but not very convincing
9 April 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I understand the film is trying to showcase the life of a lesbian family however the plot is overshadowed by activities and actions that doesn't quite make sense. Other have already pointed out some of the issues; some of these being, 1. Lesbian having sex with a guy because she is insecure? It could happen but it also raises questions as to why didn't she turn to another woman for her needs? 2. Paul isn't at fault here as we soon find out. He is genuinely falling in love with her. The movie made this very clear. If anything she was the one that started the fling. Denying Pauls love and presenting it in such a horrible, demeaning way at the end was uncalled for. The general idea of gays being "more" sensitive just flew out the window for me because of this. I feel so bad for Paul and the movie ends abruptly without any remorse for him aside from him throwing his helmet about cause things got screwed up and it's a complicated situation. Oh and the cruelty of the last words spoken by Niki to Paul, just wow. That alone wiped everything that was nice about the movie for me. Those words, people, are obscenely cruel.

3. The relationship between the kids and Niki were not developed enough, especially with Laser. It was Laser that wanted the contact, wanted to find out more. However as the movie progresses it is left unknown and whatever the movie wanted to project at the end when Paul looks through the window is lost. The few scenes they have together were confusing as well, especially with Laser's most-likely gay skater friend.

4. The relationship between the two moms were so-so. Granted most of it was pleasant and enjoyable to watch. The beginning sex scene was umm disturbing. Who here has a partner providing them service while stiffing under the bed cover? As for the gay porn, I'm not sure why so many of you have issues with this. Sex is Sex. If you enjoy watching or having sex what does it matter? Seriously, why would it matter? Grow up and stop pretending you're an almighty gay person or straight person. Having that sick, twisted and ignorant discussion about sex doesn't help.

5. The Green issue. Throughout the movie we see the family being green. They eat right, they have a prius, they are conscientious. Niki, however, appears to be OK going back and forth. Granted the movie makes a reference to this because she doesn't like Pual but that's besides the point. Again, the cruelty of the words from Niki to Jules is astounding. I bet most of you missed this.

Well, going to end it here. I did enjoy the movie but was very annoyed and somewhat turned off by how the parents was portrayed and how badly Paul was treated. It certainly didn't help that Paul was essentially left out, kicked out and abandon by everyone in the family for something that he alone did not cause but he ALONE had the right to enact upon (which he didn't start btw). I mean if you agree and criticize Paul you might as well shoot cupid now and be done with it.

Lastly, after reading some of the comments here and some of the forums post I believe, with 95% certainty, that many of you have little to no idea what the hell you're talking about for being LBGT or straight. It tells me that your life must still be filled with confusion over your decision to be gay or straight.

Edit: People, Paul stated he was falling in love with Jules. He didn't have an affair with Jules, she had an affair with Paul. There is a difference. Why are so many of you missing this when the movie makes it so clear what Paul's stance was? Hell, he even quit playing around because he wants to find someone that he can grow old and have a family with!

Not a very good movie for the wrong reasons
18 March 2014
There's quite a bit that does not do justice to the movie or the story. First and foremost the movie should not have been in English and should have stuck to Japanese language with subtitles. The reason being that at times the dialogue feels so robotic and so out of place. The second is the atmosphere/setting of the story. It tries to be a fantasy shying away from the real world but it doesn't do enough of it nor being real. The script/screenplay is not the best at all. It feels so B movie rated.

The background on the characters are severely lacking and leaves the viewer empty to any attachment of any sort. I believe it makes good actors/actresses bad. The English language on the females must be the worst, not because of it actually but because it makes them terribly bad at acting. I'm not sure if it's because they don't know how to react to the dialogues or what but it is very annoying to watch. The witch is the same.

I had high hopes for this movie but it was not a good movie to watch through.

Kid movie
18 January 2014
This is a movie for kids. I could not stop laughing through the movie. The acting reminded me of Air Bender by M. Night although not as bad. Characters are stiff in their acting I find it hard to relate or even care about any of the characters. Actually, I pity the kids and the way the script was written.

CG's are for the most part good but there are some scenes that are just bad and they are obvious. If you've read the book you'll maybe like the movie a little better than I did. To me this is nothing more than a middle school movie shot in space.

It's also a mix bag of kids trying to be adults or acting like them. Sure it's military training but it's corny.
